Saving Pose Presets

In saving a pose as a preset (G3F) I have followed tutorials to allow pre-positioning of characters. BUT - with all squating or sitting poses they keep loading  at the default Y axis. In other words, floating. Can anyone help me here? 5 hours of tinkering & searching & I'm getting nowhere.

Move the figure down using the Hip bone.

  • Dumb question but are you saving the x,y,z translates; because that is rather odd. Alot of the more recent pose sets will have those turned off. So the toon will take the pose and the user just tweek it into position.

Yes, but you do need to make sure that you save the Y translation on the hip for it to load correctly.

When you go to save a pose preset:

    1. Open the hip section to reveal the translation area.
    2. Click the fly out menu.  http://prnt.sc/egkofb
    3. Uncheck all.  http://prnt.sc/egkom9
    4. Check only all rotations.  http://prnt.sc/egkott
    5. Select the Y translation on the hip.  http://prnt.sc/egkp5s

That will save your pose preset correctly.

Thanks Chris - I did do most of this (found a YouTube tutorial) - but your response is awesome! So helpful. Really appreciate it.
