Bonus Buyer Freebie MIA

The Bonus Buyer Freebie section on th MM page is empty, the heading is there, I bought something yesterday (Daz yesterday)  & have the banner so there should be something right? Anybody else seeing this?

 

Note: tried removing the hide items I own option, no change, loaded cart with today's new releases and none show up as free so a little confused.

    They don't change everyday. It looks like the freebie is the same as yesterday, Electronic Tools, and if you already got it then the space will show up blank.

    That might account for it, I picked that up yesterday (as a freebie) I tend to grab the free stuff as soon as I see it as I have missed out on a couple in the past by thinking I'll stick that in the cart tomorrow, then missing the end date.

    This is really annoying and very poorly thought out.  Nothing shows up if I unclick the "hide items I own" button, and since the category only shows up if you're a bonus buyer, you can't check by just logging out.

    Righclick on the "OFFER VALID FOR..." text, and choose "Inspect" (or similar, depending on your browser). This will bring up the source code for the page, at the right location. 2 lines below that you see a line similar to this:

    <ul id="slab2" class="daz-slab largeItem" data-products="22850"></ul>

    The 22850 is the sku of the product. Copy/paste that into the product search box on the top right, and you'll see what the item is.

    Yeah, not the best solution to find out what it is, but it works... :)

    Assuming that the code there is actually correct. :p  I like the idea of the Bonus Buyer plan, but the execution clearly wasn't well thought out.

    There are certain things that you just have to assume. :) If the product listed there is not in fact the freebie, then yeah, this doesn't work. But why would Daz list another product, and not the one that they are giving away for free? :)

    We've already seen two this week, and it's only Friday. :)
