I want a THONG for G3M

Hi, fellas. Any idea where I can find a thong for G3M? Been searching online for a while; no luck. Basically what I want is a jock that leaves the butt largely uncovered (slurp, drool...). This would be exactly what I'm looking for, except that, well, it's for G1. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

    Wow! I'm putting that on MY wishlist! 

    What you really need is Valzheimer's "Wear Them All" for G3M. Then you can put that thong on him with no problem. You can also fit clothing and hair from V4, M4, Genesis, Genesis 2 Male and Female, and Genesis 3 Female. Opens up worlds of options! Check out his other products too. They are so versatile. I use them almost every time I create something in DAZ.

    I tend not to like the fit of non-Genesis 3 undies on Genesis 3 even with wear them all. The fit is poor to me.

    Could you possibly use a thong for v7? Granted there may not be enough frontal coverage

    Thanks, pal! What you suggested certainly looks great! $24.95 is a bit pricey (for me), though. Well, maybe I'll put it in my wishlist and wait for that elusive sale. :)

    What you say about using non-G3 gear on G3 does get me a bit worried. Perhaps if some could show some renders so I could make a more informed decision...

    =-) I understood.

    This is the closest to a thong I've seen on sites I Frequent. Sy's extreme undergarments.  it is a rendo product. Warning. Extreme.

    A lot of your fit issues with underwear for me depends on how much you customize your guys. Since I don't use out of the box most of the time, fit depends on how well the undies distort around the pelvis and abs.

    A lot depends on how much you want to tweak. 

    HEre's a quickie showing a typical men's undergarment from genesis 2 autofitted. Yeah, I have wear them all.

    Right off the bat, before applying smoothing and upping it to a high degree, there was tearing in the buttocks between the legs, even on this simple pose. Abs, are always an issue. You need to purchase other smoothers to handle that region. Underwear has a shrink-wrapped odd look to it. 

    This is the look I tend to get with autofit for older stuff... Which is why I usually pass.

    Whew. Those extreme Undergarments sure are a bit extreme indeed, even for me. :P 

    I actually don't (like to) make my guys overly massive in terms of either flab or brawn; it's the Hugh Jackman sort of build that I prefer -- very athletic with lots of definition, but not too massive. Hopefully that won't entail any fit issues? Well, guess I'll find out by getting that 'Wear Them All', which I think is worth it in any case considering what it can do!

    I think wear them all is useful to a point. But I don't think it handles some areas... Collars of shirts for example and groin areas look poor to me. In general I only autofit certain things from past generations to genesis 3. 

    Abs will always be an issue with underwear. If the guys have abs, you're going to have to work to make them look good. But it is doable. Good luck.

    Have you looked at Oliver?  http://www.daz3d.com/fw-oliver-hd-megapack ; He's g2, but his thong's quite well made.

    One way to get around a lot of distortion issues is to fit the clothing and pose, as normal, but turn off smoothing and convert the clothing to dynamic (I use VWD).  It takes a bit of practise to get the workflow right, but I think it's worth it.  Have a look in my gallery, you'll see what I mean with some of the briefs and swimsuits. 

    But, yes, if you can find a well fitting thong for G3M, please don't keep it a secret.

    BeeMKay beat me to it- while no thong is included, there is a nice jock in there...and the mini, while again not a thong, can work.  I use them often, even in promos. ;)

    Autofit is never 100%. For those issues, you'll need to use DS's weightmapping tools to move the influence of the underwear mesh from the thighs onto the hip as area between the thigh may have issues when autofitted or even when the transfer tool is used. First thing I did was go through all of the underwear I wanted to save and tweak the maps in that area and saved them as wearables. Wasn't that hard and took about 10 minutes to fix. But doing that brought back all my underwear, including a pair I got from D3. There should be some tutorials on youtube on how to do it, but it isn't hat difficult.  Also if the mesh breaks too much, you can always export the original then import it back and scale and fit it as close as possible back to the shape then save it back. There's a DS tool to swap out the obj in the transfer tool, and between those two tips I've gotten back my underwear wardrobe.

    The guy (or gal?) who did the thong for G1 (which I referred to in my very first post above) has also made several other extremely homoerotic bodysuits for G1 & M4. Such as this and this. They're both thongs at the back. Wonder how 'Wear Them All' will handle these suits if I try them on G3M...

    LOL, since things like this haven't been made in years, You have to salvage what you have. The outfits from that vendor doesn't have too many problems, but you may need to adjust weight maps still around the thigh and anything that has a hood.

    What's not to like? Hah hah.

    I  own one, and it looks pretty good for it's age. Haven't found the right guy to wear it... But I bought it last year. I think I bought it at content paradise.  =-)
