Hello all....probably you will laugh...but im just wondering....is it possible to fit genesis 2 male clothes to genesis 3 males? And if yes....how does the fitting works....is it automated procedure or there is a workflow for this.? Thanks in advance....i appreciate it....

I think autofit will do G2 to G3 automatically, seems like it will handle one generation to the next one up. (I have the plugins below, so I can't remember.)
If that doesn't work, you can use Wear Them All for G3M. I have this for G3M and for G3F and use them all the time to fit outfits from G2, G1, M4 and V4 to the latest generation. Worth the money, and sometimes goes on sale for a great price (hopefully during March Madness soon.)
Also, if you want to fit newer clothes back to other generations, here are some very good products out to do that:
I wish there was one fitting things back to M4/V4, but there doesn't seem to be.
and if you have all the GenX plugins you can make your own clones for everyone.
exporting the shapes as obj for morphloader
then editing the properties of the imported saved morph to clone in edit mode
My genesis, G2M&F and G3M&F all have M4, V4, K4, and clones of each other, I also did M3 and V3 but they did not work well, still trying to get them right as the genesis clone needed to do them and somehow it doubles the values.
the meshes appear to match but the clothes do not fit.
as for V4 and M4 I use XD4 on the exported Genesis cr2 Poser companion files
@the3Ddigit - I found that using the Gen 3 Iconic Shapes for Genesis works great as a two step process for bringing over Generation 3 items. I fit A3/S3/V3/M3/H3/D3 to Genesis, then fit it to G3 with no problem. Looks pretty good. Did that here with Blue Moods for V3 and S3. I've tried it with a few other very old clothing items and had good results. I've been picking up some of the nicer older clothing sets to do more with this, and will post more renders on my art thread soon. Some of them have a surprising array of fitting morphs and are very well made.
yes that I can do too, domino fit to the different generations, no idea why my clones fail though.
Thank you so much guys!
I had NO idea that was possible with the Generation 3 figures. Thanks for posting this, Llynara. That dress looks incredible.
You're welcome! I fell in love with Blue Moods and some of the other outfits for "The Dress" for V3 and S3 and just had to at least try to make them work. Some of the older stuff for D3 and M3 is really nice too, especially the Luthbel items. Many of these outfits have never been updated or reproduced for newer figures but still look very good (especially the Flamenco stuff). I'm glad they're still in the store. I've been picking them up during blowout sales at crazy cheap prices.
Do the Genesis fitted items need to be saved in Studio in some special way so that G3F and G3M figures can then use them? Your results make this look worth the effort!
Can you elaborate on how you do this? I never realized GenX could be used this way.
The Dress, back in the day, was one of my all-time favorites ;). Had no idea I could use it on G3...I have those Iconic shapes too..whoohoo. Will have to try it out tomorrow :).

Wow! that looks awesome Lynara, The dress is one Wouldof my favorites and I had hoped it would be updated like the MFD was for newer figures. Would you mind giving some more details of how you fit it to G3? I'd love to get it to fit like that!

where there is an explanation of making a K4 clone for Genesis 3. The same instuctions can be used to make a clone out of any shape you can get onto Genesis 3 using Gen X
