LF hose and cable attachments

Hi everyone!
I'm looking for outfits and gear that have a specific kind of look. It would look like a tank attached to the back of the figure with hoses coming from it. The hoses would connect to a pistol or rifle, or to connectors on the arms and legs. It's kind of a classic pulp sci-fi look that's been used most recently for characters like Mr. Freeze and Bane.
While I'd be open for a commercial (or free!) set, I'd also be up for some hints on how to kitbash this look. I imagine some EasyPose hoses would work but I'm not sure how to parent the ends of the hoses to follow the poses of the main figure.
Here are some examples:

Or maybe this paid item: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/doomsday-for-outlanders-m4-fireball/104541/
I really could use more hose and figure attachments easy pose style. I have several easypose wires and tubes but most have a dated look. Would like some updated models.
Maybe kit bash something with poseable tentacles. There's the helmet piece.

These are some great suggestions! Thanks, everyone!
For kitbashing with easy pose stuff, I save that for last. Get everything in position first, then put the cables etc in.
Besides not worrying about following, It lets you cheat since "easy pose" isn't really easy. :p
Doesn'thelp if you're animating though...

This has so many morphs you can make it look like almost anything.
I get a lot of use out of that one too. I just wish it were longer/had more bones. As a quick workaround, I've taken up to three copies and parented them. Depending on how you morph the shape, sometimes the ends don't look quite the same as the "body" so I've had to hide the end bones and tweak the parenting to realign the bodies for a seamless look. A bit of a pain. The one upside is that "easy pose" controls like Bend All, Bend After, Bend Before (and their siblings, Twist and SideSide) only affect the shape of the selected body in the parented chain, so you can get some longer tentacles with interesting shapes and more complicated poses without having to pose each bone individually.
