OK, I was reading the update announcement for the latest build and I'm a bit confused! If I read the sub note, you have to have a 8 series GTX card or higher. Is that right. In other words, my GTX760 would be useless!

I couldn't see anything specifing anything about the cards!

    Um - wrong.

The latest release now supports the pascal (10-series) cards in Iray. As long as your card is supported by the current nvdia drivers (you need to be on at least version 372.xx) it will work for Iray. The confusion may have come from the fact that the 10-series cards require support for cuda version 8, included in the 372.xx driver for windows but a separate download for Macs; AFAIK, version 8 supports back through version 4.

  • My creaky old 670 still chugs away in new Daz. You might want to try the beta first, just to be sure everything is how you like it. You can have the beta installed with full Daz at the same time, and they'll use the same saves and everything. I use 4.8 and the beta. As of right now, the beta is the same as the full release, though some plugins might not work in the beta.

You might need to update your 760 drivers, that's all.

Like nam said, the new release added 1000 series support, so if you had a 1000 series card, you would need 4.9.3 to be able to use it.

thanks, I was a bit confused!

I keep my card drivers up to date (done automatically) cSo that's not an issue!

Nvidia does not grandfather their video cards for fun.  Their support for older cards is very customer friendly.
