3D ARTIST(S) NEEDED FOR CUSTOM PRODUCTS

Good evening all,

I am the lead developer of an upcoming PC/Steam game titled "Anathema."  We have been greenlit on Steam and as development ramps up, we will soon be seeking to launch a Kickstarter campaign.  Our kickstarter campaign will seek to fund new tools, assets, voice actors and most of all, a 3D artist or two to make custom environments, weapons, props, clothing and morphs for existing Genesis 2, V4 and M4 figures for Daz Studio.  We are using these generation figures as our mocap is setup for these figures.  We pre-render all sprites into a 2D format so high poly count is preferred.  High quality meshes and textures are a must as some items will be used for HD cutscene renders and animations potentially.  We render all assets using Iray.

We are in the preliminary stages of planning this Kickstarter and would love to have your quotes and portfolio sent to us in a message for future consideration.  Bear in mind, we are in the early planning stages and there is no guarantee we will be funded.  But we have to know what we're looking at to set a reasonable goal for funding.  Below are some links for our project as well as contact if you prefer another method outside of Daz messaging.  Thank you for your reading and I hope to hear from you all soon!

The problem is that the majority of forum users will not be able to use any DAZ assets they've licensed for game development purposes to create your game art. However, there are a few very good modelers that visit the forums that might have interest.

I didn't think sprites needed a game license?

Oops they don't. Sorry. Thanks for the correction.

I missed the line that mentioned sprites and only saw the lines talking of using DAZ 3D geometries and textures.

  • Yes, we have no need for real time 3D assets. All images in our game are pre-rendered into sprites.

  • Just bumping.  Maybe I'm overlooking it, but what would even be the best way to contact some of the artists directly?

I would start over in the Commercial thread.  Lots of vendors there that are posting about upcoming items.  Just click on their names in the forums and you can direct message them,

You may not get much of a response there, as they are workig on products not contracts.

Commercial forum is only for advertising new items in the store.

Then why do PAs still post commercial threads in the commons, just wondering. I visit the commercial forum often and would prewfer all commercial threads in the one forum, just saying.

Forum software doesn't work like the old one. Before we could create the threads in commerical and the mods could add a link in commons to forward to it.
