Anagenessis 2 Question
Is there a way to "Un-Apply" this product from your character? Once I apply it, it makes the eyes kind of milky and it's hard to correctly move the eyes to their target because i can't really see where they are pointing. I've been saving my file without Anagenessis applied as a "Working" scene. Then applying and rendering but I just forgot that step now my character has Anagenessis applies and I'm going to have to fight with it for the rest of my series. Any help or tips on this would be much appreciated!

The only way that I know of would be to re-apply the characters original textures, which will restore all the original texture maps and material settings.
Duhhhh! Thank you! I totally missed that. That's simple enough. I guess I had tunnel vision there. Thanks Six!
If you like what the Anagenessis product is doing for the skin, you can apply other shaders to just the eyes, or make up your own. There are a couple of eye-specific products in the Daz store. Some people like Macro Eyes, but there are others. Just be careful to get a set for the character you use, as the shaders aren't compatible between figures.
You could readily make your own preset of just the eyes for your character. Store the preset using the default materials that you like, and then reapply it after you've converted with Anagenessis. If you';re not sure how to do this, hunt around the threads here for pointers -- it's a good skill to have in any case.
If you're just trying to remove the "milky" look in preview, but want to keep the shader applied to the character for rendering, experiment with the various eye materials in the Surfaces tab to find the one that's causing the milky look. Dial it to get rid of the milk for preview, then return the value when you're ready to render.
I always just reapply whatever eyes I'm using once I've applied the anagennisis.
Even easier!! Thanks Ice Dragon!
But what if the eyes preset isn't for Iray? Now you've got automatic conversion of 3DL materials to Iray, and far less control of how they're supposed to look. Many characters still only come with 3DL shaders.
It could work if you create your own pre-Anagenesis Iray shaders. That way at least you keep with all-Iray materials in your scene, and D|S doesn't have to perform on-the-fly conversion. That conversion adds to render time, and limits your control over how things should look.
