How do sales work on this site?
I installed Daz Studio a couple days ago and started getting my feet wet. I was looking through the store and decided to pick a couple things to purchase. They happened to be on sale (-30% off), but I didn't see any indication as to how long they would be on sale for.
Today I went to buy them and they are no longer on sale. It's a bit irritating to know that if I'd pulled the trigger a day earlier, I could have saved some money off the full price. Now I don't really want to buy them anymore...
So how do sales work here? I see lots of things marked with various discounts, but there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for it. Do things just randomly go on sale? Should I put things in a wishlist and wait until they get discounted?
What's the best way to maximize one's dollars?

30% is the usual introductory offer when an item first appears in the store. Sometimes you get a better deal than 30% if you buy multiple new products, or when there is a special sale on. You need to watch the boxes in the rotating panel at the top of the main store page to spot current offers.
The introductory 30% generally lasts for two weeks, then the product goes to full price for (normally) as long as it counts as a "New" item (flash across the corner of the product picture on the store page) which is 60 days. After that it may well turn up in a sale for the PA who made it or a more general sale. I suggest that you add it to your wishlist and keep an eye on the price there.
Also: if you plan on bulk buying then it might be beneficial to get the platinum club subscription. There's an annual and quaterly subscription, see this link:

Basically: you get a lot of discount on several products. You get a $6 coupon code per month to spend on Daz original stuff, every week there will be some steep introduction prices, $2 goodies, and some freebies every month.
I know I probably sound like a marketing drone. Trust me: I'm not. But fact of the matter is that when you get started you'll probably need to invest, heavily. Get the good balance of stuff to get your basis set up. Freebies go a long way,but.. only so far. And with that in mind the membership can (in the longer run) save you a lot of cash. Provided that you're looking to spend some cash of course.
Food for thought?
Thank you both for the replies!
I've been looking at the Platinum membership and given what I'm thinking about getting, it might make more sense to get the membership and save a few bucks in the process.
