Items of a product will not appear after installation.

After I install an item, for example "Galactic Corps Defender Textures," the various components of this item do not appear for use. This is a recent event.
Any ideas what is happening or how to fix it?

How did you install it, and where are you looking? Also, don't forget this is just a texture set; there's a separate "Galactic Corps Defender" clothes item, which you must have installed first.
Where are you looking? If you are in Smart Content and have Filter by Context checked then you would not usually see the product until you had one of the items from Galactic Corps Defender selected in the scene.
I was in Content Library, Products.
I right clicked on the item, then choose Install. It appeared to install, but when that was finished, there were no components, textures, present to move to my Categories. I always organize this way after installing within DS.
This has also happened today with Antimatter Container, The Drill Tank, and Deco Lobby.
and do yu have the filter option checked at bottom left of Smart Content?
Poster said he was looking in Content Library, Products. The Filter by Context in Smart Content shouldn't affect that should it?

No problem there. I never use Smart Content.
It might still be related, though; remember that both Products view and Smart Content use the content database — if anything glitches in the database, or the way D|S adds entries to the database, it will affect any content view dependent on it.
The icon for that item (eg. antimater container) in Content Library, Products, is different from others. Some icons have a small blue square, others a small white square, in one corner of the product icon (I still don't know what these tiny squares indicate). But the icon for this item has a broken circle in it, with a small arrow.
When I browse to folder location this is what I find:
Local disc (C:)\ ......... My Daz 3D Library\data\cloud\1_8981
This seems reasonable except for the word "cloud" in there. So I think it is where it is supposed to be except for that. Also the file at that location has very little data, 104kb indicated but the real item has 4.39mb.
Strange.
The Cloud folder is for items installed by Connect.
There is nothing in that file.
Looking where? In DS (where the folder should not be visible) or in an operating system file browser?
Please post a screenshot showing your content diectories - Edit>Preferences>Content Library tab, Content Directory Manager, then expand the entries under Current set to show the folder names. Also please post a screenshot of your DIM install folders - click the egar icon at top-right, then take a screenshot of the Installation tab.
Richard, another thing I noticed..... I am reminded to update my DIM, but when I do so I am told update did not work. This is occuring with DIM not being able to download anything now.
P.S. Do you think I should delete DIM and then re-install it?
Yes, if the update fails then uninstall and reinstall from a fresh download should - the download should always be the current version.
I will do that and let you know how it works.
I tried one last time to update, before the uninstall/install process..... and this time it updated.
I have no trouble downloading anything now, but the few items I mentioned are still a problem.... they do not show up.
I will attempt to fix it and let you know.
