TerraDome2 Environment System in DAZ Studio?
in The Commons
Hi. I have TerraDome 3 Iray and I love it. I know that TerraDome2 is a product for Poser, but can it be used at all in DAZ Studio if Iray shaders are substituted for the native Poser shaders? It looks like a great product. Thanks!

No, I picked up TerraDome2 as a freebie a while back to test that out. So far, I haven't been able to get the morphs to load as they use Poser's injection system which doesn't work in DS. If you have Poser, you could save the morphs out in a format that DS can use, but it's complicated. I don't have Poser. That info is based on a few experiments by Carrara users to see if they can get TerraDome 2 to work with DS and Carrara. So, unless you already have Poser, I wouldn't get it hoping to get it to work in DS.
Rats. Thanks, Knittingmommy. I'm glad I asked before I bought it. I do have Poser 9, but I don't have it installed because Poser and I don't get along very well and I love using Studio. ( No offense to Poser users.) I'll just stick to the options I have which happen to be very good.
No problem. Like I said, I bit the bullet to get it for as a freebie when DAZ was doing a special not long ago. I was curious just like you and I wanted to know if it would work. Sadly, I don't have Poser and don't have any plans to get it. I'm glad I didn't actually spend money on it, though, I could have returned it if I had actually spent money on it.
I do have TerraDome 3 and am very happy with that. It's definitely something to get if you don't have it yet.
I missed it as a freebie. Bummer. I do have TerraDome 3 and I love it. I'm really glad that I was able to pick that up. Cheers!
