Semi OT ISO free security suite for old vista laptop

I am searching for a free securityh suite for an old Vista laptop.  I rather not buy anything or pay anything at this time.  I rather get a paid antivirus when I get a new computer.  The free software should not slow down the computer any more than it is already.

    My recommendation would be AVG Free for antivirus/antimalware, as that's what I've used in the past on older systems that Microsoft may not be keeping their own antivirus software updated on any longer.

    I need to uninstall norton as it is a CPU hog and there is no norton subscription.  Will try avg tonight as my taxi should be here soon

    I think I got everything uninstalled by a little trick I figured out.  It could have went sour but now everything is uninstalled which means I can try to install AVG again without worrying about the old expired anti virus getting in the way

    Avast is really super light. I use paid Bitdefender now but I used Avast free for quite a few years.
