Please tell me how to move DAZ Studio from Drive C to Drive D
When I installed DAZ Studio, plus content, it naturally defaulted to my computer's small Drive C. My Drive D is much larger and I've been told that I can move everything to it. I'm reluctant to do this if it's going to cause future problems. I would really appreciate it if someone can tell me the steps necessary to make the transfer. Do I have to uninstall everything --the application and all the content files-- and start all over again? I'm willing to do this but I'm looking for a less drastic approach. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Victorio, it's as easy as copying and pasting. Just copy the content folder from your c drive and paste it to where you want it on the d drive. Then you need to tell DIM to install your content to the new location (you do this by clicking on the gear "settings" icon and go to the installation tab, then navigate to the new location.) You will also need to tell DS to find the new content folder location by opening the content directory manager from the drop down menu in the content directory tab. Add new and navigate to the new location.
Then once everything is showing up where you want it (and double checking that you have everything working), then you can go back to your c drive and delete your content folder from there.
Keep in mind that the program, DS, will still be installed on your c drive. What you've done is move the content library over to the d drive. And the content library is what eats up all your storage space.
FeralFey, You are a great asset to the DAZ community. As a newcomer to DAZ, I can tell you that trying to learn the DAZ Studio interface can be a bit daunting at times. I've read the user manual, but there is so much that is not explained and new terms that are not clearly defined. More examples would also be helpful. So I am determined to learn by the "trial and error" method. :-) Knowledgeable folk like you who are willing to help us newbies are both needed and much appreciated. Thank you!
(BTW, I visited your store and really liked your male and female expressions. They are now in my wish list, and soon will be moved to my cart.)
Thanks, Victorio. Anything to help out. :)
Victorio - I sent you a PM.
