3Dlight Iray Importer?

So I just purchased the Muscle Cars off the Fast Grab a couple days ago, http://www.daz3d.com/muscle-cars

I'm trying to add one to a scene, I am working off the Product Catagory so everything should be there and trying to pull in an Actor.

and I keep getting this, No importer for the File Format Error; and its a DUF file. I have never had this happen b4 but I have never seen a Actor

set up for IRAY or 3Delight before either thats new to my runtime at least. and I am using DAZ 4.9; as there are no requirements beyond 4.9 on the store page so I dont understand why this should not load. is their a plug in I need or what is up with this. BB.

  • Resolved I think:

I have for years put all my IM content in:

C:\Users\BB\Documents\Daz 3D\Studio\my IM library with no problems.

but I am on a new computer, and had forgotten to update your Installer to that path, so even though DAZ does not look at the users/public/documents.

IM has been Squirreling away my new content in  C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library

Now why does DAZ have a User\DAZ 3D\ Library path, and a Public path for IM could it be so that no one as stupid as a User would ever find that content and touch it in any way. Once again your UTTER CONTEMPT for the people that use your program, buy your content, and pay your bills shines through like the sun.

It's called "Default settings". DIM and Studio are two different programs, who don't share Settings. When you change loations in one, you need to change locations in both. It also says so in the DIM user guide. No need for the name calling.

Yes, that's the problem — the DIM installer and DAZ|Studio do not talk to each other, so if you change the default content location in one program, you must change it in the other as well.
