Blue New Bars Have Disappeared

I am still running 4.8 on my laptop because I need the blue bars for new content.  I load the content on my laptop first then follow the blue bars and categorize the content on my pc which is running 4.9.  My blue bars have disappeared on the 4.8 version.  Please, please tell me this is fixable.  I will never be able to find my new content without them.  I HATE smart content and won't use it. I am almost in tears... I have checked to make sure DIM is still reading to mark new items.  Nothing has changed that I can tell. and I haven't updated anything since yesterday either.

    I' have the occasional problem that if PotgreSQL hasn't shut down completele before I start DIM, there is no New content in 4.8. In those caees, I simply uninstall the new content, shut down both DIM and DS, check that the database is also off in task manager, and then restart DIM and simply reinstall. After shutting down DIM again, the NEW bar is back.

    I feel your pain about the organization stuff, I also use 4.8, and the Beta of 4.9, but on the same PC.

    Thanks! I did restart and it looks to be working again.  I have been meaning to put 4.8 back on the pc but needed an external hard drive first.  Now that I have that I will see if I can find the thread that explains how to manually install 4.8.  I saved a copy of it so I should be able to do it.
