I like her except for the leg spikes.  I wonder how that would look with clothing on?

I'm not seeing any wrinkle above the nose in the base character, either in the mesh or in the bump maps (she has bump maps but no normal maps). I suspect the wrinkle has to do with the expressions or the texture used in the promos.

The human morph version of her looks quite lovely - like a 'normal' woman. Chuck a different skin on her, and she's totally normal. Plus mixing her in with other characters would be good too.

I'm curious to know if the lines and wrinkles that show up in the 'human morph' are present in the mesh, or are created by the material. Judging by promos for other characters based on Anneka -- who all have the usual eerily smooth skin -- I think they probably derive from the material.

Which is a pity, because they're remarkably realistic. If they offered a 'normal' skin tone (rather than demonic red) paired with those lines, I'd probably be all over it. As it is, I may need to wait for a special offer during some sale month in a year or two's time.

If they are in a normal map, which would seem likely, then you may be able to use the normal map with other characters.

Yes, I assumed that that was probably the case. I don't see any sign from the description of there being a preset that would allow you to apply just the normal map, which means that it would be a bit more work to do, but it sounds like it should be feasible.

She has bump maps rather than normal maps, and there isn't a separate preset. But you could apply them to another character manually.

Or save a materials preset with just the bump settings.

I'm curious about how much of the full demon, i.e., crone morph can be brought in for the add-on characters without the Anneka base.

No. Didn't need a zombie. Don't need a demon. Can always use crones.

Do like one of the hairs and a couple of the outfits, though.

There are separate HD head and body morphs. Unfortunately the pointed teeth and ears are baked into the demon head morphs rather than separate. The she-devil head morph hardly changes the base G3F head at all. Also Jezebeth's skin seems much less pale than the promos suggest. So a bit disappointing for me in those regards.

According to the product page, there are separate morphs for the arm horns and leg horns. They may be dialed in automatically if you load the Anneka Demon full character preset, but you could dial them down to zero. It looks like they are a darker shade of red than the rest of her skin, but if her legs will be covered in clothing, that shouldn' matter.

The deep discounts from adding the addons sucked me in. Drat!

  • Based on how different this character is (the materials are under the Character folder instead of Materials like all the other 7, no normal maps, HD morph is included and not separate, etc.) it was probably a late decision to rebrand this as an official 7 figure.

I kind of wondered if this was considered a base or not, or just a pumped up regular bundle. I see it advertised different ways.

This got me thinking, does anyone know what the additive property presets do? Since I can't buy this for a while, I can't check it out for myself. I've noticed over the years that some figures will have an additive morph that isn't meant to be used on its own, like the V5 supermodel morph, or the Freak 5 super morph. One thing I like about this new figure is that it's basically two different characters (or the same character at different stage of her infernalness). It seems that the further back I look through the iconic characters, the older ones had more face and body options than newer generations. This is refreshing.

Gah! I have no interest in the character as its completely outside my style, but I like all the clothes and hair in the bundle :/

I though this would be easy to skip :(

It looks like it applies the morphs, mats, and attaches the horns so you can turn any G3F into a demon with one click.

Even though I haven't a lot of interest in the character herself, if anyone actually wants the creature addons, it makes more sense to opt for the pro bundle if one can. Particularly with the extra texture packages or whatever to bring the discount up.

Isn't it around the time of month that we sometimes get offered a GC sale?

I didn't want to get the pro bundle, but I did want some of the stuff from the bundle, like the hair. I opted for the bundle since it actually made it CHEAPER than if I'd bought the stuff separately and it's probably the only way I'm gonna get any kind of creature skin for the creature morphs I bought :-/

Reyna Hair looks nice; the rest - well, maybe later... I don't have much use for ghoulish stuff.

  • Anneka - Anyanka?

Either I'm the only Buffy fan left, or my suggestion of an inspiration connection is so tenuous that people were too busy giggling to bother disagreeing.

I tried it with a slinky dress, and the dress just formed over the spikes.  Weird.  I think they can be turned off.

You can turn off the spikes on the arms, legs, etc. per appendage ;).

I think most people who watched Buffy probably just know her as Anya. I've seen every episode of the entire series several times and even I forgot her name was Anyanka. lol Of course it's been quite a few years since I've watched Buffy.

I already have Tara and Sachra,  I didn't see enough of a difference in the two figures other than the wings are included, and they are a bit better than the Universal Demon wings which IMHO have  the bones  way too thick and need to be slimmed down for female figures and given a bit more poseability.

I could really use a monster base with different skins. We already have a zombie and Lich  character and several demonic red-skinned women even before this release  but a more varied monster base  with hues other than red would have sold me.

We had several weeks and over a month of monster release base figures in the fall. And looks like we will get Annika and her male counterpart for the spring.

i did not think the extra parts pack looks very good. The texture on the snake tail is stretched and looks odd at the waist. The horns don't look real where they fuse the scalp and the tail looks like it belongs in a game of Pin the tail on the donkey sort of pasted on.. I honestly expect better of modern modeling than what I saw in that pack.

Was too similar to this product for me to purchase it:

It's really nice to see the G2 Succubus Add-Ons back under a different title, though! Hoping someone will do some additional colour variations, as before (and some pose sets). A shame that there's no morphing optins for the smaller tail to go without the spade at the end, mind you - or to minimise the membrane connecting to the back, for the anatomical wings.
