Is there a DAZ (etc) animation group somewhere?

I enjoy browsing through the art galleries ... there is a lot of talent displayed and it helps trigger a lot of ideas of my own. I am now doing animations and I am wondering if there is a place for 3D animators to share their artwork in that format. Or is animation not that common? Thank you.

  • Art Studio is where they moved Animation when they condensed the forums. It never was very busy. There are some of us around, but it is time consuming so the posted work is infrequent from me. But there are others who post much more often, like Ivy, Wendy (who keeps changing screen names) and Wolf. Most of us post them on YouTube or Vimeo and link to the videos from here.

  • Great. Thank you.

Slightly OT. Does anyone use HitFilm Express for editing videos?

I do ... although I started only a month ago. So far, I think it is great. I hope to get the pro version someday. What is your question?

In the carrara forum we have a group that do Carrara Animations from creating the content, animating it and post work on it .

We also have some exercises that have been posted for people to try with the intent to increase our abilities.

Thanks for the response. I've just wondered if there are some disadvantages of using Express,

because one can still buy additional packages, like Mocha, to complete Express version.

Today it is the last day of 15% off of the Pro version and I do not know, how often Pro goes on sale.

I do not know how often the Pro goes on sale. But the express has done everything I am asking of it for my videos so far. It is another big program with a learning curve. So the free version might be a good trial to help decide if you want it or another program (just based on personality and personal styles).

Thanks. I think, I will give a try of Express version, to see, if I need anything else.
