save/load hierarchical pose preset without changes

Apparently I've forgotten how to save and then load a hierarchical pose preset without changes.  What obvious thing am I missing?  Top is posed to put a curve in the belt and then saved as a hierarchical pose preset. bottom is what I get when I apply the saved pose to a perfectly flat belt.

  • If it is using some kind of easy pose controls are they marked as Modifier/Pose if you look in the parameter Settings dialogue (gear icon on the slider)?

It is the easypose tube, with a single shell and it's instances parented to each node.

A randomly selected node does show Modifer/Pose in the parameters settings, see screenshot.  I did a bit of googling in the forums but I'm not sure exactly what this means or how I should take action based on this info.

Thje question was on the missing settings, presumably the easy-pose sliders (if you actually used those). The other possibility is that you had only bones, not the figure itself, checked in the options dialogue.

Here's a screenshot of one of the easypose settings, BendAft.  Also a screenshot of the save settings, partly expanded into a few nodes (presumably all nodes are selected).

  • The type iss et to None - that may well be stopping the preset from including its values, I'm not sure.
