Yet another creature creator pack with no textures...

A hint as to when we might get those? I'm really loathe to buy another when I don't even have any textures for the first set of creature morphs I bought.

And it only appears to be for the females.
The male set will probably be out in a few weeks.
Frankly, I can't remember any of the Creature Creator sets coming with much in the way of textures. I'm pretty sure that the V4 creature texture was sold separately from the morph pack. And I only remember there being the one texture. Which was kind of generic.
The creature creators for Genesis 2 included all the morphs (ie Undead and others), and 8 different textures. You had to buy the HD pack to get the HD morphs, but this includes the non-HD pack. It was a lot better value than the equivalent Genesis 3 packs.

Those are some nice textures.
If I had Gen X2, could I transfer the G2 creature creator morphs and textures to G3?
Im over it. I might buy it down the road if a texture pack becomes available, but im not in a rush. Far more interested in the boogey man. http://www.daz3d.com/boogeyman-hd-for-genesis-3-male
There is SF Demon Builder Bundle Genesis 3 Iray by SickleYield and fuseling at Renderosity,
which has materials and morphs, as well.
There is also this by SickleYield and Fusling: http://www.daz3d.com/beautiful-skin-genesis-3-bundle
mind you they would look pretty creepy with human skin ....
I think a few generic shaders would not hurt though, repltile scales, flesh fresh and rotten for example as iray uber and 3Delight based on the base UV even as a PC+ addon that could be used by itself
There is Caymen studio's G2F UVs for Genesis 3 that work well. Those and the V4 ones have to purchased over at Rendo, as they were not released here.
Only Creature Creator for Genesis 2 came with textures. I'm not sure why this is. I would think that, given that newer customers would want a complete render-ready pactkage out-of-the-box, including at least 2 textures would be a no-brainer. The ones that came with Creature Creator 2 were good as starter textures if you didn't already own other characters whose skins you wanted to mix and match. I would imagine that IRay-ready textures would make these G3 morphs very attractive to the new consumer indeed.
You could transfer non-HD morphs. Not HD morphs or textures.
Yeah better off sticking with G2 which has a heck of a lot more morphs in its creature creator packs, I mean they look wonderful, great sculpting! but it doesn't contend at all to previous figues packs.
This recent product has different skin colours for both genders:

Amd don't forget, it seems they're phasing these out. There was an undead version, released one gender at a time. I imagine there will be a make bersion of this, then an alien-themed one. Taken together, they will probably be the equivalent of the previous sets.
I'd like to see an array of different wings and tails, though. Naga-like serpent trunks, too.
Its still a nice pack- and it does have a skin setting. I haven't had time to really explore what the skin setting does, when I used it on this, it seemed to give the skin a bit of a mottled look. And the morphs work beautifully, very easy to dial a little or a lot and are broken down into each body part i. e eyes, nose, ears etc. (the glowing eyes do not come with this)
There was very little PA support for these for some reason, if any at all. Don't think many PAs were that excited about doing texture sets for these morphs, although I'm considering doing some for future releases.
I sort of feel a bIt nickel and dimed with the creature packs. Instead of one set it will be 3 to cover horror fantasy and sci-fi which I assume will still be released.
Buying both the female trio and the men's set will cost a lot.
I usually buy one gender or the other depending on what I think I will use the most.
I do really like the promo art for this set. The Sea Hag is super cool
They are very nicely detailed characters. I think it's an unfortunate shift between the prior design and pricing.
It's also a downside of the current youngish state of the generation; with Genesis 2 Creatures, I could slap on textures from Street Rat, Catworld, Reptilian, all sorts of different stuff and get cool effects.
Genesis 3, on the other hand, only has a small number of unusual textures.
Its funny because I would buy a good texture set for the creature creator morphs. Or other creatures. Before I would buy any more normal skins for regular characters. I don't NEED anymore skins for people. I do need skins for fantasy creatures. I don't know how well the fire and ice textures and the mutant textures sold but I snagged those up the second I saw them. I could run the skin of my creature above through the skin builder (except that the one for gen3 isn't out yet lol) and do a green or blue or whatever but it won't be mottled skin, or scaly skin or dry flaky skin, or whatever.
Where are the fire and ice textures? Those sound interesting.
the whole UV incompatibility thing did not help either (geografted workarounds aside) other generations we had so many one could use.
I did a "quickie" (it was meant to be quick and nasty) using Ceridwen's fantasy skin (as suggested by my partner). We definitely need some proper fantasy skins.
creature department..am good
that is just me :-D everyone's got their own nitch
@Saiyaness "I did a "quickie" (it was meant to be quick and nasty)"
"Quick and Nasty" !!!
I bow before your awesomeness. Still a great render.\Lighting, depth of field, perspective, gentle ripples, hair denoting motion or wind. None of these equal "quick" from my perspective. The whole composition is masterful.
I was more disappointed in that while the G3 version of this product got separate zones for the morphs such as the brows, the G2 version never got separate zone morphs it was either all or nothing for the head and so on.. :(
Good point, and for the most part, there is PA support for these kinds of products, but more so for "character" morphs rather than these creature creator morphs which is what I think Daz may have wanted to see happen with this new round, It's a shame that they aren't releasing textures to go with these morph packages, but I think some of that has to do with how they are set up as well. Seeing as they aren't necessarily "character" morphs, but rather a mix and match kind of thing assigned to more specific parts of the body rather than just being head and body morphs. But we'll see what happens as far as these go. I personally was not all that impressed with these morphs to begin with as compared to previous incarnations we had in the G2 sets. I'm thinking once they parse them out, they will eventually bundle them with some kind of textures, but who knows.
