Asking For Refund

I am having a hard time installing one product that I bought because it has Daz Connect, I just recently became a platinum member and I just don't want anymore complicated steps to do aside from learning the program itself which is already hard. I want to ask a refund for one of the products that Ip urcahsed namely Katsu for Lee 7.

To get a refund, you have to submit a ticket at customer service: https://helpdaz.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new but it might take until after the weekend until you get a refund.

Katsu is an encrypted item (one of the few), and they only install through connect. If you have DAZ Studio 4.9, it is possible to install it. What kind of problem do you have with installation, perhaps someone here in the forum can help?

I also have Katsu on my wishlist, but will only buy him once he's no longer encrypted, and become available as DIM and manual download (at least, that's what DAZ3D said would happen one year after release of the item...), but I also don't install through connect, as I prefer DIM installation.

You need to file a help ticket Help > Contact Us > Submit a Ticket and request a refund

  • If you persue a refund be certain to specify wether you want the refund in store credit, credited back to your card, whatever. By defualt you will be given store credit if you are not specific.

Oh will it be available for DIM or manual in the future? Because if that's the case I might just wait for it to be available in that format.

Yes Daz has said that Encrypted products will be  un-encrypted after a year.

According to the documentation the release date was 25 May 2016 so it should become unencrypted the end of May this year.

There's a thread listing all encrypted item and their release date in the first post: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/89246/get-your-encrypted-daz-connect-content-here-thread#latest

The first three item to be decrypted are due for decryption on 21 January, so everyone in that thread is waiting with baited breath if the items really become unlocked at the time. Unless the process of unlocking is an automatic one, though, my guess is that we'll see decryption not until 23rd late in the day, as 21st is a Saturday, and the DAZzlers have the weekend off.

It's easy to get refunds, one of the reasons I really feel good about shopping here.

    Just put in a ticket.

I highly recommend asking for store credit, because it's a far easier/faster process than trying to return money to your card/bank/whatever.

Daz 3D has a great refund policy.  Please keep in mind that you have 30 days from date of purchase to return an item.  If you decide to return Katsu, you need to open a ticket with Customer Service before the 30 days is up.

I have Katsu. It was the first DRM model I actually paid any money for. Granted, it was $0.24

Three encrypted items became unencrypted today,

    • Medieval Storage Room
    • Lynsey for Genesis 3 Female(s)
    • Dragon Queen for Genesis 3 Female(s)

They were all freebies when I got them.
