  • Sir! Chohole just said DAZ isn't real life.

  • ChoholeChohole Posts: 33,604

Yes I suppose I did at that.   Didn't quite mean it that way.

  • Well, on this side of the servers DAZ is an escape from real life.

But I'm still telling on you.

So these are the guys that thought up encrypted Daz content. I always imagined them to look exactly like this LOL.

Steve Kondris! I remember him, saw and talked to him at conventions. And Dan Farr was sooo nice, he gave me a pass for Siggraph one year when I didn't have one, invited me to dinner with the Daz staff and PAs at Siggraph and then I kept running into him at various comic book conventions and last I heard he started the Salt Lake Comic-Con and I wonder if that's what he's still doing...?

any of the carrara crew left?

So what was the conclusion? Are these the real people or a strikingly realistic simulation of actual humans?... They look pretty real to me... Or at least like pretty high end androids... Like I don't see any visible I/O ports or WiFi antennas or stuff like that...

I always pictured there would be more kangaroos or loose gibbons there though.

Not even one goat roaming in the background...

    Reality is disappointing.

Did anyone notice the reference to Carrara on the white board?  Would love to know what that said lol.

Much cleaner air than when I lived in downtown Chicago, of which I could see the pollution hanging in the air when returning from vacations out of town.

Our Mountains are nowhere near as high as where Daz is, but we still now live in a nice airy area and it is wonderful after living down near London for most of our lives.   In fact today I saw a report on the BBC news site that the area where we used to live, the next Borough to us on both sides had air quality alerts http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-38673310

We used to live in the London Borugh of Richmond. Where we lived was so close to Wandsworth borough that if we walked out of Chohole Gate we were in Wandsworth, our garden wall was the boundary between the 2 boroughs.

For some reason there have always been Steve's at Daz,  at one time I seem to remember there were several all at the same time.

Interesting video.  I would have thought a graphics company like DAZ would have their products proudly decorating their offices and walls.  But the walls were mostly white and the offices very bland.  I think I only saw one poster of Hiro and that was it.  I imagined a more colorful place.
