When I try to import a PNG or JPG image.  I get a error, unknown file format, error no importer for the file format can be found.  I do I do this?

  • Import into what, and how? If you mean Daz Studio then images are loaded and assigned to properties through the Surfaces pane, by clicking the little square next to a mappable property in the Editor tab when you have a surface selected. Therea re a few other places that let you load images - the Environment pane with the mode set to Backdrop, for example.

I am working with Daz3d 4.9 version   Drawings and characters my son creates.  I want to rig them and animate them.  Is it possible?

  • No, I'm afraid not - you need a 3D model to create a figure. There are tools around that will allow you to "animate" parts of a photo or drawing by selecting them, like a flexible version of the littel card figures that can be made by punching out the parts from a sheet and then joining them with split fastners, but I can't recall any product names.
