Glad to hear. We managed to make the script help studio load the textures a lot faster for the g3 version. We have a revised one for g2 as well but we need to test it all still and if all goes well the g2 version will get updated.

    Awesome can't wait!

Hey Zevo, any update on how this is going? I bought your previous skin builder and haven't bothered getting any new characters since. I just love it.

Will be great to be able to use a G3 skin instead of a converted G/G2 skin. It works but the new one will be MUCH better.but then again, all your stuff is, lol

And here is another vote and offer of bribes for a male version. hahaha

Edit: more options for makeup and tan lines would be helpful to. Maybe someway of editing them? might be a bridge too far but just a suggestion.

...freckles, would be nice to have a freckles overlay.

However I will just be happy when it comes out as it would save me a tonne of Zlotys from having to buy a stable of characters I rarely would use just to get different skins that work with G3.

Yes, but the base skin should be flawless. then we can add to that like we could with the overlay program as well. That was one of the drawbacks of the G2 version, the base skin had slight blemishes on the face that made all the skins similar.

...given the recent turn of events with the passing of Draagonstorm, is SBP3 still on track for release?

Hi Guys. Sorry I have been away from the threads. SkinBuilder 3 is being worked on around the clock. The reason it is taking longer than usual is because it now caters for 3DL and Iray, so whenever you build a skin it has to make sure it can do for either or, or both. That is a very complex process. Also the MR aspect needs to work flawlessly, eg instant saving out of material presets and writing all used maps for them. To answer some questions-

Freckles is included as an overlay option. So base skin is flawless and you add in whatever other details you like. The reason for the similar blemishes (on G2 version) is because all the colour skin maps shared the same bump and spec maps. It is the same for this version, but the maps have been reworked so less blemishes on the base is present. The sharing of those maps are essential to map blending, if the bump/ spec were different for each specific skin, you would get blurring if pore details were miss-alligned.

"Edit: more options for makeup and tan lines would be helpful to. Maybe someway of editing them?"

This version will include all the PSD files as well, also editing the makeup and overlay options is very simple. You can also add your own options to the scripts. All will be explained in the product tutorial.

I will give a full feature list when I have the time. Still very busy on production files. With regards to release, I am hoping for February, but that depends how long it sits in Q\A. This product will take some time to test as there are many aspects to it. Thank you all for your patience.

  • I don't mind the base skin having similar blemishes. The options are great enough and the blemishes slight enough that once you wrap the skin on a unique character, you could have two characters side by side with the same base skin and unless someone really looked carefully, I doubt they could tell.

Your products are consistently among the best on the market.

..sweet, Holding onto the GC just for this. while resisting other temptations.

So will the overlays be able to be applied with the LIE?  I don't have  Photoshop or the latest version of PSP so cannot make use of .psd files
