I wish there were Dragons or Train stuff to trigger the Dragon and Trains sale

I wish there were Dragons or Train stuff to trigger the Dragon and Trains sale.

The sale, once triggered has some great stuff..but none of the "new items" are remotely thematic to really get the buying juices going.

Yep I agree when I saw the email I though cool new dragon stuff - but no nothing that interests me at all but I would love to buy something to trigger the discounts on the other stuff

Yeah, that's a weird sale. I don't get what the connection is at all. And I just bought Polish's Subway Train for 60% off when it was on the blink sale yesterday. Now it's 70% off, but I'd have to buy something extra that's not related at all to trains. Bizarre!

And the trigger list is small, which increases odds there's nothing you want.

I don't want G3 stuff, and I have loads of contemporary rooms now...

It looks as is whoever thinks up these sale titles is getting desperate for new ideas. OK, I'll admit a contemporary loft, a pair of open toed high heel boots and some art poses for aeroplane nose pictures are certainly a different way of trainning a dragon. And it's all good stuff but why link it to a dragon? And the picture at the top of the page looks like the Spirit of Punk engine but that isn't the train that's in the sale!

Mind you, the humor value of 'train your dragon' having trains and dragons is pretty cool

    /me returns to fugue state

  • There's the Woman on a train Poses.  I think that's the connection.

It's kind of like those RRRR render pull image contests. LOL.

  • Lately I find the sales very deceiving :(

When I saw the Spirit of Punk engine in the banner with the mention of trains I was hoping to find some carriages done in the same style to make up a complete Spirit of Punk train. Sadly there still aren't any.

The Polish Subway Train is an excellent model and at 70% off a real bargain, I'd buy if I hadn't already bought it, but it isn't really in the Dragon and fantasy style.

The conenctins are weak, but there are the subway poses and Pix Jingfei has a chinese dragon tatoo. And maybe the shoes are made of dragonskin.......

i wouldn't want to meet up with a dragon if i was wearing dragon skin shoes, could be a relative.

  • Doesn't everyone need new high heels when off to slay a dragon train?

Not open toe boots...a bane on the world of fashion

but if your dragon has a train, wouldn't it get in the way of her wings flying down the aisle?

I figured dragons had HO-scale trains set up in their basement lairs.

    Missed opportunity!

It's a railway boardgame, with dragon-themed (powered?) locomotives. You actually draw on the board with crayon to build your rail lines. Some of the rails can go to an underground submap, and pop up elsewhere.

C'mon. It's Friday the 13th and the upcoming Chinese New Year is the rooster. It's obvious!
