Laguna Mermaid question

How does the Laguna-Mermaid tail autofit to G3M? As in, no weird rippling, or loss of movement morphs. If any one has it and can answer or post a render I would be eternally grateful. Thanks. smiley

well I just tried it and it doesn't auto fit to the male at all...... it doesn't show up maybe it's something I don't understand to do with the geo shell it uses or Iray

Geoshells never (as far as I understand it) work properly on a figure other than the one designed for.

Your best bet is to use GenX2 to transfer male morphs over to the female and essentially make a male-looking G2F.

Well, dang. I was afraid of that. Thanks Timmins.

@MistyMint Yes, it's very disappointing, I wanna make mermen. I wonder if that G2 one would transfer to G3M. Hmm, bears some thought. Thanks everyone.

Yeah, when I work with figures I do a big song and dance trying to pick figures based on what geoshells I want to use. ;)

I want a merman for Genesis 3 male!

+1 Me too! Thus far I've only managed to sort of do a merman, by using the Lorelai Mertail on G2F, then hiding and parenting her to g3m so as not to lose the movement morphs in the tail. Which sort of works, but it's a nightmare to pose the male figure without him leaping away from the parented female figure with mertail.

Why must these things be so difficult.

Ummm I've had pretty good luck with the Lost Realms Mertail for G2F by parenting it to the hip of the G3M here there is 50%toon generation on base Genesis3male and yes I need to do a bit of post work at the join ...nuthing perfect

and the lorelei mertail parented to the hip too ,if you parent then you don't lose the pose controls or morphs ......and if you parent before mophing the base figure it will follow most morphs

I always wonder why on earth the merpeople should show human skin on their upper torso. Them being creatures of the cold water, they should be covered with scales all over. And they should have gills. Human noses are no good underwater. And they should look fatter. Like all other mammals who dwell in the sea, seals, walrusses, whales ... They all need fat for isolation.

But, in that case, they wouldn't look sexy any longer ...

I quite agree with you on this. I've always wanted to make a chubby merperson with no nose.

Not necessarily gills . . . maybe they have a blowhole, like a dolphin or whale.

Yes! Exactly like that! Though I might have flattened his nose a bit more. :D
