Is there a way to "un-geograph" a part?

Say I have a figure that I've carefully morphed and textured, then at some point thought it would be cool to add 4arms to it but changed my mind later.
Do I have to redo the character without the geograph, or is there a way to delete the geograph and restore the holes left over with the original mesh?

delete the graft and the holes will be closed
I'll have to try that again when I get home tonight, I thought I did and it just left openings where the geograph was But maybe I didn't.
You can also fit it to "none" and make it invisible if you have a character where you later want to use it. For instance if you have a character where you only want it to have four arms at times and don't want to have to insert a new one in the scene every time you want to switch it. There's a certain male anatomical part where that is really useful *stares up at the ceiling and whistles tunelessly*
Would this step be before or after geographing?
There are no actual holes in the mesh when you geograft. All what happens is that when the graft is applied, the graft object causes the mesh underneath it to be hidden. When the graft is gone, then there is nothing to hide the mesh anymore.
After, you are just breaking the realtionship between the GeoGraft and the figure in a different way. It would be useful only if you still wanted the GeoGraft figure in the scene for some reason.
Ok, thank you all :)
