DAZ Connect Offline?

I am still awaiting shipping of my PC to my new home in New Zealand but, in the meantime, I've lately been spending in the holiday sales. Just running through my purchases in my account Product Library, I notice that DAZ Connect seems to be enforced now. Is this correct? I notice it mentions DAZ Connect Offline which seems to require an authorisation file. 

Have I missed something? Was there an announcement? I must admit that I have been busy with other things (removals, emigrating, etc.) for the last few months so have not been visiting the store or forums.

    Nope you don't HAVE to use connect or log in to it, even in the latest version.

    There are a few items that are encrypted and can be isntalled only through Connect, but most still allow DIM and manual installs.

    Thanks. The download screen just seemed different to how I remembered it. I thought the authorisation files were now required in order to use DIM and I didn't remember having to use them before. Just to clarify further, could I use an example? I have the Morphing Bean Bag Chair awaiting download. This is what I see on my Product Library page for that product, does it mean that I need to use DAZ Connect?

    DAZ Connect has always had "offline installation files" like that; that image you attached still shows the other files options, so you're good to continue using DIM or manual installation.

    OK, thanks. Maybe a little paranoia: I really want to avoid Connect if at all possible.
