Sally SC Skin Issue
I have Sally SC for G3F, and I am unable to apply a matching skin mat to her genitals. There is no matching Iray skin mat in the smart content/materials folder as far as I can tell. Please advise on Sally! Many thanks.

Have you tried using the torso mats? I don't have that character, but according to the file list of the readme, the torso map is called "torso_gens", so it might work. http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/32103/file_list
Otherwise, not all characters come with exclusive materials for the gens, especially not teen and child characters. This might just be one them, though she's an adult..
Thank you for your reply. Do I apply the Torso_Gens via the Surfaces tab? If so, what value/property(s) does it get applied to? As you can see from my search what is there, I am assuing you apply the .jpg to whatever value it is supposed to correspond with. Thank you again for your help.
I applied the torso gens mat .jps to their respective places (as iray) and the pic below is the result. The actual genitals now match but as you can see towards the lower stomach area it fals off completely. ????????
Image removed, please note the Forum ToS bullet point 1 and replace the image with one cropped to show the problem without any explcit details showing Thank you.
That IS the cropped image, If I crop it anymore the problem will not be able to be seen. Do you understand? How else am I to show someone the problem, when the proble IS the explicit content provided by Daz that is NOT functioning the way it is supposed to? Please advise.
Here is a new photo since the other got taken down. This may not be sufficient to help show the problem but I am not sure what else to do. I have just looked closer and the Torso_Gen is darker than SallySC skin...not sure how but it doesnt look like it matches.
Teh upper area is all that's needed to see the mis-match with the base skin. It looks like a difference in gamma values, possible if you manually applied the textures. Click the micro-thumbnail next to the mapped properties on the anatomical element surface and the figure abdomen and then in each case on Image Editor to note the gamma value assigned - make sure they match (with the skin texture on the base figure being taken as the correct value for each pair of images).
Thank you the idea that it is a gamma issue makes sense for the mismatching skin and I will try that but does that account for the greyed out bit that didnt even take on the wrong gamma in the first place? I mean the anomoly here is that the G3F genital mat/map is not fitting to Sally SC correctly no? Otherwise even a mistmatch in gamma would be an evenly spread mismatch covering the whole genital map and not just a portion of it. I have never seen this before.
It's possible that the materials are not meant for the genital figure - as you say above there's no preset to apply them in the filelist, and no mention of them in the readme. A gap does suggest that the maps aren't for that model. You may need to open a support ticket to seek clarification.
According to the description there are no textures for the G3F genitals (anatomical elements, call 'em what you will ...) If that is what you are using then you will be sadly disappointed as the UV mapping does not match that of the base figure so just applying the toprso textuires will not work. I don't have the product but I'd guess the *_gens texture give soem detail to that are for he base G3F figure whilst the default textures are more 'barbie dioll' in nature.
I did wonder aboutt hat, but the file list doesn't have any obvious alternative skin presets.
Does the fiel list show mutliple torso maps, or just the _gens ones?
I do have the product and there is only the one torso texture. It's, um, non-Barbie Doll.
The appending of _gens to the texture maps might be a 'reminder' to the PA that is is a 'detailed' set of maps.
Does this problem occur for you (if you use gens?) Or does this just sound strange?
Vanishot, it's not strange that vendors don't include extra textures for the geograft gentitals. Some do, some don't.
And most of the time, even for nude reders, you really don't need the geograft - unless you are aiming for an explicxit shot of that area where you are aiming to get the 3D "version" with the folds and stuff.
With the previous generations, you could use the torso material on the geograft; obviously that has changed for the G3F version.
Sent you a PM Vanishot.
