Leyton Hair and Sapphire Hair not selectable

Hi there. I recently bought both Leyton and Sapphire hair. They worked fine. Then, at some point, I was working online Daz Studio. I shut down down Daz studio. When I came back and booted the program again, it gave me a message that my properties weren't in synch with my purchases, I forget the message. Anyway, I did a search for that and it said, reconnect online and the message goes away. Fine, I did that and the message did go away.
However, now, when I use Leyton Hair or Sapphire hair, it applies the hair to the figure, but it doesn't appear in the environment. For instance, I select Genesis Female 3, and then Leyton hair. It applies the hair to the figure and you can see the figure with the hair. When you click parameters to see the objects in your scene, I can see Genesis Female, but Leyton Hair is not a choice, even though it's in the scene.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled both Leyton and Sapphire hair and they're still not accessible in the scene. I think that Daz Studio received an update which screwed up everything. So, is there a solution to this problem that does not entail reinstalling everything. Also, is there a way to shut off Daz Studio updates?? Any info appreciated, thanks.
P.S. some of you might think "Why not contact the seller?". Well, apparently I don't have the option to send out messages. Do you have to have a certain number of posts before you can message people?

Customer Service actually do the support for products bought in the Daz 3D store, so rather than try and contact the PA directly you should fill in a help ticket

Length of memebership or number of posts does not affect the ability to send out a Privat Message. Click on the Gear icon displayed on the blue bar at top right of the forum page. THere in the drop down list you will see "Inbox". Click on that to take yourself to the PM system. Clicking "New Message" will give you a typing panel
THe other way you can do it is to find a post by the person you want to PM, and click on their name under the avatar. Then on the next screen you will see "Message" at the top righ, next to the gear icon, clicking on the word "Message" will take you straight to the inb ox and you will be able to ytpe out a PM directly to the person you selected,
Thanks chohole, appreciate it. I was accessing the message area from my account, I didn't know you could access from the gear. I will reach out to tech support and see what they say.
Are you expanding the entries for the base figure - by default fitted items are also parented to their wearer.
Hi Richard, basically, everything is there, the hair works, and it is the hair for that figure, clicked the part that just shows the stuff that's available for that figure. It was working fine before until this update or whatever. Now, it seems as though it's working, but there's no object to select to further modify it.
In the Scene pane, click on the little arrow point to the left of Genesis 3 Female. It will "expand" to show any items that are parented to Genesis 3 Female.
Thanks you very much barbult. It's funny, when I first started to use these hairs, they were showing up as a separate objects. Then I got that weird message, and after that i couldn't see it when I loaded it, so I said great, my system is now screwed over an upgrade. :) Anyway, I'm glad that there's a reasonable explanation, thank you very much for taking the time for supply visuals as well, greatly appreciated.
Update: I opened the program, I got that weird message again that system configuration had changed, blah, blah. Before I did anything I did a "scan known directories for files" and then did a refresh. I tried to do what you said in the above and these are the results. This was not showing up last night. As you can see, the Leyton hair is showing up on it's own. The only thing I could think of is the scan for files brought it up. However, thank you very much for your explanation, should I have issues in the future, I will definitely look at the files the way you mentioned.
The configuration chnage is relating to Connect - you wouldn't be able to use any encrypted content, or install using offline packages, while that is true. If you had previously been using a much earlier version of 4.9, or a version before 4.9, that is expected. You can clear the alert by allow DS to connect to Daz, entering your store log-in details: Connect>Log in
Well, now it went away again, I bought something else, so that must have connected it to the store.
