I cannot login to my account Thru Daz Studio

I just bought a new MSI windows 10 Pro workstation and have installed DAZ Studio 4.9. When I get the login screen upon openning the application, I have to blindly type in my user Id and password. After I blindly type in my user Id and tab to the password area, the userID shows up. I blindly type in my password and tad to "remember me", the password dots showup. Then, when I select connect, I just get the circle "windows waiting mouse icon" forever and never get connected. This did not happen on my MSI desktop. Other applications on this workstation seem to work OK. Any ideas? Install manager runs funky as well and locks up most of the time. Very frustrating.

be sure your keyboard is correct!

a simple use is to wrote your "loggin - pass" in text (notepad) and use "copy/paste" to be sure what you insert,,

Thanks, but that is not the issue. I can see the correct user I'd and password when I tab to the next input area. For example I blindly type user I'd and tab to password input area, then user I'd shows. I blindly type the password and tab to "remember me" and then the password shows up. This is the first problem. Why can I not see what I type just like any other application. And two, why can I not connect to my account within Daz even though my login is correct? Install manager gives me the same problem withe the tabs in the gear area. I click on one tab, then click another tab and I still see the first tab until I click on another tab and then the tab I clicked just before that shows up. This is usually remedied by getting out of the program and then getting back in or rebooting the PC. Then it happens agin down the road. I never have had this issue ever with my desktop. Could it be because I have these two applications installed on a ssd drive? Other apps outside of Daz work just fine. I do not think there is anything wrong with the laptop. It does have a high end nividia graphics card.

  • Well, it appears that no one has any ideas, so I will just push this up to tech support.

  • What you might be running into, is periodically, I have run into that issue, where I can login on website but not through DAZ, is that the user agreement needs to be accepted on the DAZ website after you login - and then once you do that, you will be able to login through DAZ.

    See if that helps...

So, here is the deal; and a crazy one at that! As mentioned in other posts, I purchased a new high end laptop that had Xeon i7 quad core processor and a nvidia M400M 4gb video card with 32 gb RAM and a 128 gb SSD drive and a 1tb SATA HDD. This is a MSI laptop...a real great unit..cost $3000.00. I installed DAZ Studio 4.9 Public Build Beta and could not see what I was typing when logging in. If I did not log in and worked offline, the tabs selected would not work and I had to use task manager to shut Studio down because it was frozen. I restarted and noticed the the tabs at the top of the screen; File, Edit, etc. were now rearranged for example the help was where the edit tab was and the edit tab was where the help tab was. Other tabs switched places as well.No matter what I did, I could not get the tabs to go back to their original positions. I also could never log into my account thru DAZ Studio even though I renewed my EULA. So, I also had another software package to enhance photos called ON1 Photo. I opened that program up and I could not get any of the tabs to work and the program locked up. I had to use Task Manager to close it down. I forgot to mention that I was running Windows 10 Pro with a 64bit architecture. So, I felt that this laptop was useless to me in that the manufacturer or the distributor could not troubleshoot the issue. I felt that maybe the unit was defective, although other non-photo manipulating software seemed to work OK. I updated the BIOS, video drver, etc. So, I returned the unit and hesitant to get another. Meanwhile, back at my desktop, a custom built unit I built myself with a MSI Gaming System Board, 32 gb RAM, Intel Core i7 6700K processor running at 4.00 Ghz., 64 bit architeture, Windows 10 Pro, Nvidi Geforce GTX 7650 SL1; DAZ Studio runs perfectly and all functions work including being able to log into my account thru the application. All other phot manipulating software runs perfectly as well. So, I am baffled by all of this; after spending twelve years of my life as a Senior Systems Engineer for Novell, Microsoft, and IBM systems and a help desk support technician, I have never encountered this happening like this.My whole intent was to get a high end laptop to be able to perform my rendering, books, etc. in my living room without having to face my desktop in my office in the basement...you know, out of the way of my wife...she would not like that in that I spend lots of time with rendering, book writing and publishing. Anyhow, I do not want to order another laptop and have the same issue show up again...$450.00 restocking fees..not good. Anyhow, I wish that DAZ could develop Studio to work with remote control software.  As you know, manipulating the figure with the box/cube within remote software does not work. Making default camera views is just not practical just to move the figures around. This feature would be great. I could then remote into my office desktop from my living room and all would be great...Oh well!
