How does the licensing agreement work?

I read that when you buy something, you don't actually own it (kind of frustrating in my opinion, but oh well). You actually own a license to use the product. How would it work though if I were a published artist? If I make a product that is derived from a Daz product (such as taking a V7 base model and then sculpting it in Zbrush) and then put it on the store for sale (such as http://www.daz3d.com/fwsa-ashlyn-hd-for-genesis-3-female-s) do I own the product that I made, or do I own a license for the product? Basically what I'm asking is am I allowed to share this product or sell it on other platforms.

As for licensing, that is typical of most products and software, you are just purchasing a license to use the product.

As for the products, not sure how the morph system works, but pretty sure you can't sell or share any parts of DAZ's mesh or textures which would be considered a derivitive work.

The current license would still apply, you still don't own the base mesh to sell or distribute. The only thing that would be yours would be any morph deltas to the base morph and the textures you create yourself. But they wouldn't be much good to sell since the base model is still under the license you agreed to. If you made your own clothing or props, those would be your own work (the obj, not with the rigging) so you can refit clothing to another figure or make your own. But then if you are a Published Artist if you agree to only sell those items exclusively here; if want to sell the props or clothing elsewhere, you would need to remove it from the store.

If you want true ownership of a figure, it would need to be something that you made from scratch.
