If you want it, I created a LIE and some presets using merchant resources and 3D.SK references. No piece of Darius 7 is included, this is safe to distribute. No 3Delight, no bump or specular maps, and certainly not an elegant PNG cutout, but works decent enough for me. I also included a less glossy lips material preset.

Someone wants to try it? I don`t want to post it without a double check first.

Looks fantastic. I want! No idea why he didn't have this option in the first place.

    lx kindly tried them :)

Here are the presets. Hopefuy they will make an update with something more appropiate, but at least they`re something to play with meanwhile.

These are just quick viewport screengrabs, so don't expect any sort of magical lighting, but here's Hellboy's shaved Darius and shadow option + reduced lip gloss tested out.

    You're welcome!

I assume they try to be faithful to the model`s current look instead of doing an all-purpose character. Rob had exactly the same issue.

Nice job, Serene Night and Hellboy, and so quick! Both of your approaches look great. I never would have thought of the LIE approach...that's pretty darn clever.

For anyone interested in going the direct Photoshop route, an alternative to the standard Clone Stamp/Healing Brush approach to removing the hair is to use the Frequency Separation technique and actually "borrow" texture from an alternative skin for the regions where Darius has facial hair. The upside of this approach is getting more accurate skin/pore texture while retaining much of the original tonality. It's a bit more complicated, but it avoids sampling texture from other parts of the face and it would be less effort than taking the purist retoucher approach of dodging and burning. I've been thinking of picking up Darius 7 anyway, so if I do and anyone is interested in trying out FS, I could put together a mini tutorial.

I'm always game for learning more about Photoshop and the Frequency Separation technique sounds interesting. And your mini-tutorial will be useful for more then just Darius. If it works well with all skin types, I expect a number of adult male skins will start showing up on renders of kids created with the Growing Up morphs.

I just entered a render of Darius 7 in the Raining Men 2016 contest. I used Hellboy's presets to get rid of the beard.  (I also went a little crazy, it seems, with DA products. Picked up quite a few on Christmas Eve...)

    Power, by L'Adair

Darius 7 is a beautiful model to work with. His skin mats are really nice, and that's the default skin shaders, except for the face, of course. I followed advice I read in one of the threads on Darius and copied the face settings to the lips.

He's not completely out of the box. I used Musculature morphs on his stomach, for a little more definition and the eyes are from Macro Eyes.

And thanks to Hellboy, again, for the great presets.
