ANYONE TRACKING WHICH FREEBIES ARE NEW?
in The Commons
With such a vast number of items in the holiday freebies, I am wondering whether anyone has come up with a good data slice-and-dice for the product list, which could track which (if any) items fall off the list and which are added, each day.
I seem to be noticing things I did not see on a previous day, but trying to scan and track them visually (and mnemonically) is prohibitive.
Anybody?
Thanks--
X.

i've never made it through all the pages, lol, me eyes tired by page 7 or 8
I have that problem, too, sor of. That, and remembering what I have and haven't seen in previous days' sales.
Technically, I have actually made it through the entire list more than once, but that was mostly by rapid PgDn/PgUp, and trusting my visual instincts to notice anything interesting. I've also tried limiting to male items in the drop-downs, at the top. That shortens the list a lot, and includes the character-based stuff I'm most interested in. But there's no way to include props and environments, if I do that.
Frustrating!

So stuff is being added (and removed) each day?
I'm pretty sure that two days ago there were over 4,500 items in there. Yesterday that dropped dramatically to a bit over 4,000. Today it seems to be hovering around the same amount. It's been hard to figure out what has been removed though. I've been relying heavily on the "Wishlistify" script to help me locate things I want, by narrowing it down to just what's on my wish list. That has been a HUGE help! :D I love that script!
I did, however, go through all the pages yesterday to make sure I wasn't missing anything good - it took me a couple hours, but I was also watching a movie at the time, so attention was divided. I did end up finding a few more items to add to my wish list in the hopes of snagging in the next few ways if the freebie days continue.
This has been AWESOME though! All these freebies! YAY! THANK YOU, DAZ!! :D
yes things are added and removed each day, but I think its an awesome way to give out things you actually want. I have made some great catches of animals and the like.
I try not to worry about what's been added/removed.
I just go through it each day (starting back at about page 6 and moving forward) looking for stuff that I've wishlisted, then generally try to go with the ones that have bounced in and out of my cart a dozen times, or the ones that I know I keep meaning to pick up because I don't like how their connected outfit looks with just shaders (often these overlap), or just things I could use for a current project - not neccisarily in that order.
Oh, and PC items are lower on the list than non PC items. :)
I was wondering if things were being added and taken away as well. I have made it through the entire list a couple of times but by the time I reach around page 15 I'm looking blankly at the screen to see if any thumbnails jump out for attention.
I did notice that today I'm down to 25 pages, it was 32 yesterday.
But so far I've been lucky, each time I thought maybe I'll go for that tomorrow, it's still been there.
I think they took away the textures for the stuff that was in the super-discounted Featured Male bundles, because I picked up Gianni 7 Pro and intended to get the Bard textures the next day but Lo! They were no longer included, nor was some other product I'd preloaded into my cart.
So... Getting back to my original, original question: Does anyone know of a mostly-simple way to track all of this?
I'd sure like not to have to scan the entire list each day, in order to be thorough.
Here's a Windows app that can do it, just click the "Check" button and it will check if there are any changes (first time there will be none, of course). Click on the SKU numbers to view the pages. Currently it's locked to the freebie page but I'll update it so it can be used on other pages using the same format. Requires .NET 4.5.

some of the texture sets makin me buy the outfit, prolly part of the plan, lol
yes..a lot of them in my case, which results the "free" one doesnt go in my cart. If there are 8 or something free tomorrow, I'm not sure I could find that many.
Unless there are some new ones.
Yea, I've bought a couple too, but they were heavily disounted so no big deal.
Far as I've noticed (and maybe remember wrong) it started at 84 pages, dropped to 77 pages, dropped to 63 pages, and is now at 66 pages.
No changes since yesterday it seems.
