    If only there was a 90% off deal on any female Pro Pack with the buy of Darius it would have probably been instant buy :( We'll see, for now he's in the cart, I might eventually get him.

    Has anyone tried having Darius (base) and Gianni (base) in the cart and then using the PC coupon - for me its only taking off $4 not 6?

    Is there anything else in your cart reduced to free that would otherwise qualify for the coupon? That's a long-standing glitch in the store software — apparently, it shares out any coupon values among qualifying cart items before it subtracts deductions that would make an item free. The effect is that the free item "eats" its share of the coupon. Either remove the free item from the cart and buy it separately, or open a help ticket with Support to get a refund of the part-eaten coupon.

    Nope just those 2 things. Yep I think I will need to contact support.

    The veins come with him - there is normal map on, normal map veins on, and normal map off. :)

    Yah, I still haven't purchased Darius. I like to wait a bit until early adopters post their renders and observations. I sometimes get talked out of making a purchasing mistake. In this case, though, I'll probably get him even with a painted on mustache. It really does seem strange.

    I bought him anyway and he looks amazing - it's just weird that it can't be removed. 

    I guess Darius' chances of being hired for that office job just slipped down a notch.

    For me, the fixed moustache make Darius 7 more of an individual supplementary character than a full figure release. It's very restrictive. Morph away all you like, but there will sit Darius the individual character. As evidenced by:

    It's a high quality individual character, for sure, but expensive.

    I did a quick mustache removal job and Darius without a mustache would've been really useful. The problem is he has a ton of baked on hair not just a mustache but a goatee and stubble everywhere. The hair goes right up to the edge of his lip making it tough to grab a matching texture and the transition area from lips to nose is more obvious.

    This is a rush job, but you can see it makes him look different- quite a bit younger too.

    I will spend more time removing the hair when I have time....  But a cleanshaven version could've been done by a credible photoshop artist. Even if the model had a beard he didn't want to shave off.

    I read through this entire thread and can't believe nobody else sees Michael Jordan?  It was the first thing I thought of when I saw Darius 7 (and I've been looking at him awhile, just waiting for his release so I could say that).  I also agree with the Louis Gossett Jr. comment.  Darius 7 is easily my favorite Daz male, followed closely by Kimo 7.

    (which happens to look like Michael Jordan, Wesley Snipes, and a younger Louis Gossett Jr.! :))

    I'm buying him, also wish there was a version for the face texture without the mustache.

    Here is Darius Sans mustache. It wasn't that hard to remove the mustache. I probably won't use the gold chain and watch again. Looks odd to me, but ohwell. I still may have to do a bit of touch up around the lips transition area.... But... Seriously DAZ should've done this. It is infinitely a doable option. Seems lazy not to make a beardless version.

    My feeble excuse is that I had no idea who Michael Jordan is (or, indeed, that he existed). Having image searched, I agree with you.

    So I'm now faced with a fixed individual character who resembles a celebrity that a lot of people will recognise.

    I think that's a pass.

    Do you have the right material on the chain and watch? It looks like a 3delight material in an iray render. Or is the iray material that bad?

    I don't see Michael Jordan, and he doesn't remind me of any celebrity. So I'm definitely not in the camp of "lots of people will recognize".

    So I don't think Darius himself reminds me of anyone, but my reaction to Eliot Hair was basically :D Odel Beckham Jr Hair!!

    (It's not a 100% match, OBJs hair usually goes a bit further down the back, but still!)

    Well, I was about to get the pro bundle and the price jumped so much I may have to just forget about buying it. My in cart price jumped from $38.36 to $78.24

    Yeah, thats it's default load. The textures particularly on the band of the watch just don't look real. The watchband looks like it is deforming  and bumping even on the default Darius character. It might look better with one of MEC4d shaders applied. But no getting around the chunky modeling.

    Thanks! I can do some things in photoshop and getting better all the time. It is fun to be able to correct details like that. Too bad it can't be shared with other people. 

     

    EDIT The watch looks better with a more 24 K gold texture. Here it is using MEC4D shaders on the body of the watch.

    Great job! He reminds me of Denzel Washington in this pic. What a hottie!

    He's more expensive than the usual price I was getting for female pro bundles, even with an increased discount of 42%. WAAAAAAY too expensive. I added all the items of the pro bundle individually and it's almost the same price as adding the pro bundle directly. Weird.

    Sound advice! I think the buckling would be avoided if you did that. Looks odd for a solid gold band.
