College Dormatory

Has anyone played with it?  It looks like a rich source of props .. not exactly an American or European dorm though....

Here's a girls' boarding school dorm. Looks like the product is spot on.

I was about to compliment you on an amazing render, nDelphi, then read more closely. Heh.

    SUCH ATTENTION TO DETAIL

  • I thought it was strange to only have 2 desks for 6 bunks.  Are the other 4 just not in the promos?

Well, there's the thirty-day return period...

But from the description, there aren't as many separate props as the pictures would imply. The only one specified for clothing would be the clothes in the basin.
I would love it if the messy blankets and clothing were all separate props, but I can't tell.
It's in my cart, maybe I'll buy it. I hate returning things.

Maybe someone can interpret the Readme file list? http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/36083/file_list

It sure looks like a bunch of separate props...

I may go ahead and pick it up.

I bought it but don't have my computer (which is being shipped to my new home overseas). So I would like to know about the props too because, by the time my PC arrives, it will be too late to return.

  • I got it .. all of the freebies took away the sting a bit.

Yes there are a zillion separate props.  As advertized there are two separate clusterings ...  basically clean and messy with messy being the more interesting. It's very resource heavy - at least on my very old iMac - so you'll want to turn off all invisible props.  The four walls and ceiling can be switched off independently and major assemblies (like a bed and everything associated with it) can be switched on and off.  A very oriental flavor.

I bought it. There are a lot of separate props, with a lot of duplicates (Pink heart pillows, computers, messy sheets...). Not many are listed saperately in the content library, though.
What I had to do was load the messy scene, unparent the props that I wanted to use elsewhere, and save them individually as scene subsets. Lots of work.

    But you get:
    A Mouse pad
    A cute computer mouse
    Computer speakers
A bunch of messy clothes that don't have morphs, but d-former will work.
Many boxes and a stack of styrofoam(?) cups
    Nice bunk beds
    Nice ceiling lights
    Makeup supplies and case
    A cell phone
    Some girl toys
A group of clothes on hangers for a closet (Non-separable)
    And more.

Note: None of the doors open, on the room or the furniture, neither do the drawers in the desks or the room window. It's open, you can't close it.

Pretty nice collection of static props.

Just about everything can be switched off individually.
