Robot cyborg with lip sync

I want to create a talking animation for a robot/cyborg.
I purchased "cyborg-model-4" which is based on Michael 4,
http://www.daz3d.com/cyborg-model-4
but I cannot get it to work with mimic, and the face mask does not seem to be able to have an expressions or move at all.
If I remove the mask, I can make the mouth go up/down to similate talking manually, but no mimic support. (but I want the human mask, looking for a nice android, not a terminator).
The cyborg model is based on Michael 4, and I can make it work with poses for michael 4, but not with any facial expressions.
Anyone have any ideas? or know of another newer model that might support this?
I have the robot genesis which does work, but I really like the look of the cyborg, any chance it will be updated for Genesis 1/2/3?

Hello,
I do have an idea that could work for you, I'll try not to over complicate the description.
The 1st thing I would do is go ahead and load Michael 4 in Mimic and create your the pose/animation file you'd like to use on the cyborg.
As you know Mimic will add subtle head and neck movements to your file (these motions can be also be disabled) as well as blinking and eyebrow motions to add realism to the animation.
The cyborg doesn't seem to have any of those morphs on the human face so they won't be much help.. but the cyborg will use the head and neck movements.
The next thing I'd do is load the cyborg figure in Poser or Daz Studio, hopefully Poser since that is program I'm familiar with and can be more help with.
Once the cyborg is loaded the next step is to load the Michael 4 figure as well, when he is finished loading you can start making Michael 4's body parts
invisible, I normally just click on each body part and turn off the visibility of that part until the only part of Michael 4 the can be seen on the screen is his head.
Then select the cyborg's "human face" and make it invisible as well, now select Michael 4's head and parent it to the cyborg's head, at this point I would usually
check to make sure Michael 4's head is parented correctly by selecting the cyborg's neck 1st and use the bend morph and twist morph to make sure Michael 4's
head moves properly when you bend and twist the cyborg's neck, if it's working right the next thing I'd do is select the cyborg's head and use the bend and twist
morphs again.. if Michael 4's head is moving with the bend and twist motion of the cyborg's head then it's safe to say it's parented correctly! :-)
The next thing to do is apply the Mimic pose/animation you created to the cyborg 1st, then apply the Mimic pose to Michael 4's head.
Now I'd check to see if everything is moving properly by clicking the "play" button in Poser.. If your Mimic pose/animation had the head and neck movements enabled there might be some unwanted movement because Michael 4's head is parented to the cyborg's head, if this happens there are several ways to fix this issue..
The 1st way is to change the parent of Michael 4's head from the cyborg's head to the cyborg's chest. Mimic's poses/animations don't add movement to a figures chest just the neck and head so that should fix the issue with movements not being in sync.
An alternate way to fix the movement issue would be to open the Animation Palette (in Poser) and select Michael 4's neck and delete the key frames for BEND, TWIST AND SIDE-SIDE, then select Michael 4's head and delete the key frames for BEND, TWIST AND SIDE-SIDE, that should also fix the issue.
Now you can click play again to make sure everything looks good and moves correctly, if your happy with the outcome go ahead and render that baby!!
I apologize for how lengthy this is but I wanted to be as specific about the process as I possibly could be.
I hope you like my idea and find it useful, it's the only way I could think of to do what you are trying to achieve.
If you need help with anything please don't hesitate to let me know, I am happy to help in any way that I can. :-)

Hi again,
I was just checking out the product page for the cyborg and noticed that the cyborg has the capability to conform to Michael 4, this means that you can disregard all the parts about parenting Michael 4's head to the cyborg.. This should make the process easier, now all you need to do is load Michael 4 and make all of his body parts invisible with the exception of his head.
Now load the cyborg, once he's loaded conform the cyborg to Michael 4, you can do this by selecting Michael 4's head and going to the conform option in Poser, now select the cyborg from the figure list then click ok, now apply your mimic pose/animation to Michael 4's head.
Now the cyborg will follow any motions or poses applied to Michael 4 without all the parenting figures together.
I hope this is helpful to you and makes things a little easier, and as I said earlier if you need anymore help please let me know. :-)
Have fun!

Thanks for the detailed response.
But this would give me Micahel 4's head in the end correct? I was looking for a talking robot head.
I'll give it a try though.
Hi again,
Yes it would be Michael 4's in the end but you could do several things to alter this, the easiest method would be to change Michael 4's head color to match the head that comes with the cyborg.. If you don't want his ears visible I seem to recall a morph "somewhere" that could hide his ears, they might even be in the Michael 4 morphs ++ pack.. or you could use own modeling program and create a new morph to hide all the parts of his face you don't want seen in your animation.. like selecting polygons on the side of his face and shrinking/pulling them till they are no longer visible or are at least where you like them. If you have Photoshop available you could always create a trans map to make the unwanted parts on his head invisible, that way might be pretty easy as long as you follow the lines of Michael 4's head template.
I'm glad you like my previous ideas, hopefully you will find these useful as well, if you need help with anything or need examples please let me know.
