Planes are changing when I save. Anyone seen this and can correct this?
OK, so I use a ton of primitives to embellish and tweak an environment.
After revisiting, modifying and saving a scene several times, NOW when I load my saved scene, half my planes are loading in as cylinders or cubes. I was hoping it was a one-off and went back through it, loading in new planes for everything, setting parameters and copying surfaces... and it still wants to save them as cylinders or cubes
Any ideas?
EDIT: And when I export 5 of my planes as a single .obj, the file is 150MB...

Have you tried saving your primitives as scene subset? are they then still showing this behaviour?
Also, which version of DAZ Studio are you using?
Actually, it's happening when I'm LOADING the scene... I Installed DS4.9 on a Network hard drive and my other computer loads everything in fine. I did the install from the other computer.
The computer in question previously had DS4.9 installed, but I'm not sure I ever did a complete uninstall... maybe that's what's mucking me up... it doesn't seem to affect anything but the DS plane primitive. I'm reinstalling DS on the computer in question to uninstall it, then I'll reinstall it to the network drive from this computer. It had been giving me a warning when I tried to run it from the computer in question, maybe there's some goofy .dll files for DS missing or still there.
Weird...
Possible. Also, if you are working on a network, it's possible that the drive you are saving to changes "name", so it can't be found later on.
Thanks, Bee. I've been on hiatus from DS for almost 5 years and I'm just now getting back into it. As with (almost) all things, the newer, bigger, better versions are a little trickier to use :P
Glad to have you around!
