IRay in Daz Studio 4.7?

I saw IRay in the store:

I know it says compatible version is Daz 4.9, but would it work in 4.7?

    No, iRay will only work in DS 4.8 and later, and the bulk of the products in that pack are iRay mesh lights that only work in iRay. You can have mesh lights in 3DL, but you would need to completely reconfigure the ones in the pack making it hardily worth while using the original product.

    The backdrop images included in the pack should work in DS 4.7.

    That isn't "Iray", it's a product that uses Iray (and requires Iray for use as designed).

    Not quite like that — you don't buy Iray, it's part of the DAZ|Studio download from v4.8 onwards. Any earlier D|S versions don't have Iray, so if an item in the store is Iray-only, it can't be used without at least some tweaking, maybe a complete rebuild of materials, or even not work properly at all.

    DS 4.8+, 64-bit versions to be specific.
