Hidden geometry doesn't stay hidden

I am trying to hide part of a figure by using the geometry editor, selecting the geometry and then hiding selected geometry. This works fine and the hidden geometry doesn't render.

However, when I save the scene, close DAZ Studio and re-load the scene, the geometry I spent all that time hiding is no longer hidden and I have to do it all again. Why is this?

(by the way, the reason I am deleting the hidden geometry is that doing so makes the figure go grossly haywire!)

    Hi,

I have the same problem. As long as I don't go the second step (Geometry Editing -> Delete hidden Polygon(s)) they only stay hidden for the current session.

    :-(

    Thanks

  • This is the way it is designed to work - if you want to keep things hidden either delete them or assign them to a new surface so that they can either be selected by that and hidden or can simply set to be transparent.

right. Problem is, if I delete them the figure goes horribly deformed.
