My freebie got released yesterday at that other side :)

More freebies will follow at the fantasies attic.

I'm hearing people say they are releasing freebies at the "other" place. Does that mean Rendo or some place else?

It could. In the case of Amaranth's post just above yours I think it means day 2 on their Advent / Christmas Calander.

Where is that? I'm feeling so left out, as I've not been around that long and don't know what's going on or where the goodies are. lol I love freebies, as I can't afford to spend much money on 3D content. :)

Some of us freebie creators (not PAs here) still give away nice stuff every day of the year ;). Wilmap (I mean, what's not to like?), Ghastly, mjc26250 among others. I have some stuff coming up (working on it as we speak), and while what we make might not be Christmas related, it's all still nice stuff. We'll all get goodies, even if Daz doesn't have a giveaway ;).

So true and I am very grateful for all you guys.

I do know that I can't continue to buy something new to get something because I just don't have the money.  I have other things I need to use my money for, as tempting as the offers are and as grateful as I am for the discounts etc. I have to stop and really pay attention to what I need (which honestly, at this point is not much. I have heavily supported lots of vendors in the last year and some months lol).

Follow her link you won't be sorry lol.   I was just going to head over to the freebies section and track that down.

That is why I made sure to seperate the PA's work from the store's. The PA's here are amazing and to offer free items that takes up valuable time that could be putting food on their table or gas in their car is amazing.

Thank you so much! The Leotard is beautiful!!!

Yep, that is all the individual surface zones, not visible is a left and right back just like the front (I haven't looked at much else yet, I just got it threw DIM, looks good so far with no surprises).

  • Thank you so much Fisty & Darc. The leotard is a really great gift that will get used a lot.

You just made my whole day.

Ah, that's the one thing I'm not sure about, I'm not seeing a G3F to G2F auto-fit thing.

Is that a third party product, or something that is a 'Unsupported' and pray kind of thing?

I made my G3 to G2 clone for autofit from a Tutorial but you can buy a G3 to G2 clone in the store.

OK, That's good then (If I can find that thing in the store), because 'Unsupported' G3F-to-G2F Auto-fit thing is not all that good with the arms.

It's ok Eve, there is that G-suit thing for G2F that works on G2F.

I Found a Generation 7 to Generation 5 converter by Sickleyield, not a Generation 7 to Generation 6 yet.

Just to respond to some of the questions here (as well as to explain the reasoning behind it), I wanted to chime in.

For the past several years we have given away free items for the holidays.  The number of items submitted however, declines each year, and we really struggle to come up with enough items to make it viable.  Add to that the fact that, as free items, we indicated on them that since they were free, we did not fully test them and did not offer support for them.  In spite of making this clear, many customers who got them for free and then contacted support for help with them, got really upset that we did not support them.

So, what was intended as good will actually made a lot of people angry with us.  Add to that the fact that we simply don't get very many of these items submitted, and it becomes very difficult to manage.

So, while I know many may have enjoyed the free items in the past, we wanted to make sure that:

    - We had enough items

    - The items were of a quality that we are proud to have in the store

    - The items are of a quality that people appreciate, and don't end up upset about

That is exactly why last year we began to offer other exciting deals during the holidays (very, very big name new items for 75% off.)  You'll be seeing some of that this year as well.  You will also be seeing a fair number of "free if you buy" new items this year that are a step above the types of freebies you have seen in the past.  Plus, we've got a few other Holiday Miracles up our sleeves ;)

The problem is daz_Steve is that "free if you buy" is not free. you have to have a monetary payout to get it, even if it states you are buying something else as a qualifier still doesn't make it free. That is like saying "Hey here is a Customer appreciation gift, but you need to buy something in the store to get it. I appreciate the work the PA's do and I thank all those that do give out truly free freebies, but I think I will pass on the corperate idea of freebie.

    Merry Christmas all.

    +1

The deals are fun and I always welcome a gift that is free, as well as those that are not (meaning I buy something to get them). Just because there are a plethora of offers from a variety of organisations, claiming it is free, doesn't make it free when cash has to change hands to obtain it; the fact that one gets more for the same price makes it cheaper/better value/worth-buying - it is still not free.

If you have GenX2 and the Genesis 3 plug in it is very easy to move all the base shapes between the genesis versions, and use these to make auto fit clones.

Thanks for the tip, I actually used a tip created by PDSmith and can be found on his DA account along with several other tutorials for Studio.

(And thanks to the vendors participating in the BOGO, even if I don't get anything from your stores at this time, I do appreciate the gesture.)
