Can USB monitor be used to hold just the parameter dials?

Hi. I am using daz studio on a new gigabyte laptop. I want to add a usb monitor for the express purpose of housing the parameter dials in portrait mode. Has anyone tried this? I'm assuming it will work, but I would rather not buy without someone verifying if they are able.

Thank you!

  • dunno but adding a second monitor via my VGA output on my old laptop I could drag what ever windows I wanted to to it.

and D|S unlike some softwares did at least chuck them back on my primary monitor afterwards if unplugged.

(Poser being one that did not!)

Yes, I have dual LCD setup. One for display only in portrait mode, the other display for all dials, surfaces, content, etc.

Make sure your pane is undocked before you drag it to the other monitor. Select the menu option 'Make Pane Undockable'  from the top right Pane Menu. It will then become Undocked and you can drag it to which ever monitor you like.

    Have fun.
