Unusual Graphical Artifacts (Daz3D)

Anyone had this happen to them? Barely started the scene, can't figure what has gone haywire..

Check the camera position, if it has moved inside some structure?

  • Nope, moved it all over the set, still does it...

If you create a second camera and render through that camera, or just through the viewport, does the error still happen?

Where did you find the Guardian?

I think you are having a geometry issue...if it is a conversion to obj I think I may know what's going on.

  • Might be.. came from Xcalpro.. I have tried every viewpoint and used multiple cameras, no effect..

  • Ah, you put me on the right path, MJC.. pulled the model up in Vue and it turns out there is a duplicate model (so 2 copies) sitting in the same space. (Should have thought of that, I've had textures freak out when I've acidentally duped something in the past..) Downside is Daz won't let me break it up, to my knowledge, 'course I am a noob with it.

You can use the Geometry Editor tool (it's icon is a little grid with a pencil), to select the 'other' copy and hide or delete the extras.

But it would probably be easier to bring it into a modeler (like Blender) to do that.
