low memory or daz using to much

i have made a large scene and i am trying to  cut down the ammount of memory that it uses i have 24 gigs of ram and its using it all even with a 980ti for a render anyway i can cut down the the memory  usage

    Lower texture sizes/change formats in photoshop or use the texture atlas in DS to combine textures to one sheet for background figures. You can also try rendering parts of the scene and combining them together in photoshop.

    there are ways to make a program not use the entire CPU (or run below normal) but I'm not sure if there's a way to do the same with ram. I have Daz set to below normal so that I have a slightly less chance of burnin up my proc since most of the time I have too much in the scene to all go on the gfx card ;)

    With Cacheman you can limit the amount of RAM an app can use but it's mostly for apps with memory leaks I think (but who knows, DS may have some of these too).
