Copyright Question

Hi,

Happy Halloween to all!

This question should probably be directed at DAZ but if anyone could help answer this would be great!

I want to invest in a 3D printer. Eventually when I am confident in my products I want to sell them.

If I am strictly using just a base figure of DAZ like Genesis 2, 3 female or male etc; without morphs or merchant products from the store can I sell them?

I am a ZBrush user and would like to create my own charcters and it is easy to pose in DAZ first then create my own stuff in ZBrush.

Thanks

    From the EULA

The creation of three-dimensional physical representations (3D-print, molded copy, CNC-routed copy, and the like) of Content or any three-dimensional art derived from the Content is permitted only for personal, non-commercial use by the User. Additionally, the user may not grant other entities or individuals the right to produce such physical representations of the Content except for the sole purpose of providing the print to the User for their personal use.
All other rights with respect to the Content and its use are reserved by Daz and its licensors.

Practically speaking, personal 3D printers aren't up to par for commercial prints, even for consumer nick-nacks. And as Chohole has said, you'll need to use a different base than a DAZ 3D base. You might check the EULA for Poser, Blendswap is OK if you get the right CC level, and there are now businesses like Adobe in the 3D model creation business so check out their offerings and EULA.

If you're going to be creating your characters in ZBrush, you could use any open source human mesh for a starter. You certainly wouldn't need to begin with a G2F or G3F base. You're only looking for basic rigging and shape morphs. MakeHuman is a common project source for this.
