Why don't you just make a backup of your connect-content on an external hard drive, and then reinstall it from there? That saves you bandwidth and time.

  • thats the thing i don't own one. im  plan on buying one

Why on earth do you keep wiping your HD in the first place?

  • i keep  partitioning a  larger hird drive a 2 tb drive and  running out of space for the partition for daz  material

ah, gotcha, just curious as I have only wiped a HD twice in all the time I have had PCs and it was for a new OS install..

Personally, if I have to repartition, I shrink/grow.  This can be done with most 3rd party partitioning programs/Linux distros (with gparted)...if it works, then it's a lot less time than reinstalling.  If it doesn't it's only a few minutes wasted...because a full reinstall is going to take hours, no matter how you slice it.

I've handled it this way in the past, booting from a Live CD
