FSL Bashable Backdrop - Morphing Unusable?

It wasn't designed for Iray, but FSL Bashable Backdrop has been my go-to set for simplistic studio-style renders. You can just load up whichever shader you want, apply it, then morph the set into whichever shape is most relevant. One of the singularly most useful products on the store!

So, imagine my surprise to find that the included morphing slider dials no longer have any visible effect. frown

Is anybody else with this product encountering the same issue?

    Submit a ticket to Daz?

Hey, glad to hear you are using it!  Sickle and I both checked our versions of it, and ours are both still working as intended.  I would try reinstalling if you have the .zip files, and if that doesn't work I would submit a support ticket to DAZ.

  • I use mine all the time and the morphs are still working using studio 4.9.

I originally installed it through the DIM, so uninstalled it (and the install 'package'), then redownloaded a fresh copy and installed it through the same method. Still no morphing! I even did renders, to make sure it wasn't one of those weird instances where it just wasn't showing up in the preview window. Still nothing, though.

    Using 4.9.

The prop shows up fine, it's just, after selecting it, the morphing dials no longer seem to have any effect, whether + or - 100%. Tried single morphs and combinations. It's just not changing the shape in the way it used to do.

Very strange. :/ I really love this product! Just don't know why it's magically no longer functional. Always used to be.

I'll look into the ticket submitting process and see if that throws up anything.

Seems like there was a file conflict! I've been installing through both the DIM and Smart Content panel, because Daz Studio always prompts me to do so, even if the DIM installed everything correctly. After some testing, the morphs function just as before when installed through DIM, but not Smart Content. This can apparently causes problems with some products.

At least now I can use this awesome product, once again. :)

Now I'm wondering whether to install stuff purely through the DIM or Smart Content... Anyone know what the 'official' advice is?

Is it installing both ways that causes it not to work, or does it not work with Connect at all?

I'd imagine it should work both ways. I only tried it the one way, through the DIM. I'm just curious as to whetehr I should basically uninstall all the DIM installations and rely purely on Connect.
