Question about Connect

If I have an older laptop and I want to set up a scene on it but don't want to download all my content on it or on another hard drive, can I just download what I need through Connect and have it not take up a lot of room on the hard drive?
Also, can I use DS at the same time on two computers? While one is rendering, I'm setting up a scene on another?

I'm actually not sure about the second question, let me see what I can find out.
Using 2 instances of DS at the same time on different machines worked in earlier versions, I've not tried with "Connected" 4.9 versions though.
