That's so unfair. Notice how the guys are usually covered fully, but women are the ones in revealing clothing. At least make the sexism equal - let them all be scantly clad. :) I want to see the dudes showing that much skin. heheh

    Okay, that's just ugly.

Well what can you say? The fashion designer knows that a pretty functional dress isn't going to get them any attention so look - so they get 5 seconds before being forgotten with a couple of dresses they know aren't sexy or functional. No woman should have to waste her time or risk her safety keeping bits of dress from being tangled up in doors and other places.  At least make the dress heavy enough to stay down.

I agree; I'm a guy, and admiring attractive women is something I do, but that detracts from their beauty, not enhances it.

  • I read the copy and it mentioned wardrobe malfunctions, but the image I saw makes it look like moving the dress was intentional, not trying to prevent it from showing more.  I'm with Divamakeup, equal opportunity showage of skin!  I want skimpier clad males!!!  When is that showing up in Paris?!!!

I agree, one of them seemed to be actively moving her dress aside, I suspect the other dared not!

I'm as red-blooded a male as the next man (for certain values of next and man ...) but I have to say, as garmens they were a joke and they were ugly.  I have rolled my eyes often enough at ladies keeping a normal wrapround skirt within bounds of decorum (why wear them then?), let alone something stupid like these - but they achieved their aim, 15 minutes of fame for the idiot 'designer'

What I've always found weird about such things is... you know, it's not pre-Internet. I can get just about the most over the top hardcore porn with a few keyclicks.

I'm not sure why 'oh ho I can see part of her anatomical elements' is all that enticing.

  • I saw that yesterday as well.  My first thought was "A simple pair of underwear would have fixed that so easily.".  Then I thought, "I guess those women have no issue with being sold for their parts.  They sure aren't helping women's causes like that."

    I find that really sad...

Didn't you see the pink? lol

  • I always felt it was far more enticing and attractive for there to be at least a little bit left to the imagination.  Apparently, I am not a modern woman.

I will say that I support women wearing as much or as little as they want. That's their right.

I'll say it again.....Tillman Titilation Principle:  The sexiness of an outfit has nothing to do with how skimpy it is.  The sexiness of an outfit is directly proportional to how much it looks like it may fall off at any given moment.

Those outfits are not sexy.  Garish, yes.  Designed to flash skin?  Yes.  But they look quite secure in their 'attachment' to the wearer.

I live in LA, you should see what girls wear (or don't wear) here!  I actually liked those dresses LOL. I've been to private parties and even public art gallery openings where girls were completely naked except for painted on clothes and even had displays of a professional body painter painting the naked girls right in front of you. Public fashion billboards in upscale areas are more racy than what can be shown on Daz, so I suppose it's just what you're used to... Nudity doesn't bother me, violence does.

Oh, and @Divamakeup, they have billboards with men in skimpy clothes too, and you should see some of the hot guys I see out jogging with no shirts in my neighborhood! :) :) :)

I guess the girls in the OP would get less attention if they went stark naked, I guess it's the cheap effort to attract attention that makes their outfit really awful.

I've usually heard that notion attributed to William Ware Theiss, the costume designer for the original Star Trek series.  His most notable example being the Greco-Roman gown he tailored for the actress Leslie Parrish in the episode "Who Mourns for Adonais?"

See, I think that is one place where men differ from women.  Men want to be titillated.  Girls just want is all off!  Preferably so they can drool!

...yeah, I've been in LA.  I feel a lot of the styles I've seen there must be the inspiration for a good deal of what I see in the store here (even more os in that other one that starts with an "R" and ends with a "y").

When it comes to goth and emo clothing, Portland and Seattle must be the big influences..

I had a friend who by all accounts is stunning But we liked each other cause we share a lot of the same things Our inner chilren played well together. We'd toss out sexual inuedo but we'd do it for laughs. Why are people still not seeing that the outside is like wrapping on a present? The important stuff is on the inside!

  • There are a lot of gals wearing "Daz clothing" in the mall (Well more than I thought there would be.)

    Greetings,

Awww; just the one example?  :)

Actually my wife and I have a tendency to wryly refer to certain kinds of outfits that we see day-to-day as 'DAZ outfits'.  You'd think we wouldn't have that much chance to notice outfits like that, living in the 'burbs outside of Seattle instead of LA, but on the rare occasion that the sun shines, everybody wants to take the opportunity to wear clothing that they feel makes them beautiful.

I want you to draw me like one of your DAZ girls.

    --  Morgan

  • Not only are styles like that completely ridiculous, and they make both women look extremely desparate for attention.

Thing is regardless to someones right to wear such clothes, if they weren't celebrities, most people would shun being around any one in such garb.

By the way: I have no problem with nudity - it's just that the word Dazwear came to my mind when I stumbled over those pictures ...

Personally I like the flow of the orange dress - the pink one looks like it hurts ... I don't like that.

I don't know. Clothing serves practical purposes. Sunburn is avoided. Scratches, cuts, and snags are avoided. And leaving behind pesky scorch marks and hair balls when you visit restaurants is avoided.
