Joe Quick Meshes: Can Someone Explain these?

Internet wandering, led me to these G2F meshes by Joe Quick at shareCG

Are these used for modeling? Can someone explain what they are?

They are not G2F meshes as such, as clothing meshes designed to fit G2F. There are 2 bodysuits and 2 dresses, and I assume are to be used as a start mesh for someone intending to create a clothing item derived from them.

They are starter suits, which you use as a base to start your clothing model.  You can cut them up to suit your item and add pieces to them.  They are usually low poly so you can subdivide them if you wish.

  • Can those be used to make commercial clothing?

His can, yes, as he's marked them with a commercial usage allowance.

Why does this sound like something from a video game? ;)

  • I grabbed these when I first started and I am almost to the point where I feel I might be able to make use of them lol.
