The stone shaders in freebies isn't working for me: http://www.daz3d.com/dld-stone-shaders-for-daz-studio

Is anyone else having issues getting them to work?

Are you using iRay or 3DL? If the former, these are highly unlikely to work, and may not work with 3DL in DS4 either, since they are based DS3 shader nodes.

Ah ok. Yeah, I haven't really rendered in 3DL. I just tested it and you're right, it's 3DL only. Poop.

Another useless freebie for me - I'll shove it under the bed with all the freebie textures for clothes I don't own and probably never will. lol :P

    Thanks for your help. :)

    Composite? How's that?

  • Composite is taking multiple renders of the same scene and layering them in photoshop.

  • Hi Divamakeup,

I'm quite new to Daz but I found out the following regarding the shaders..........you have to have the object/character selected and also have the same selected in the surfaces tab.

When you double click the shader you choose......the object/character turns grey or maybe some other colour........and they only show when you render them. i have only done this in delight but hope its some help.......and lord knows, i need all the help i can get!!! :)

  • Whether the surface goes grey in the viewport or not will depend on the shader - some will be partially previewed.
